well you need to have full board with recruiters to drop this at 0 and this is nothing cause you cant drop anything else or buff your minions not to die just from fan of knives maelstorm spirit lash or whatever i think the variations of dude pala in wild now will be stronger without this card jailor and level
Are they serious? They just spit on us. How can it be fucking epic? The last common for paladins is supposed to save the class?
Shielded Minibot and Righteous Protector are both common cards that drastically improved Paladin in the past. I don't see why people disregard the viability of common cards.
I think the rareness is mostly associated with the fun factor or uniqueness of the card rather than it's power level (think of the new legendary cards that aren't competitively viable).
I think that Call to Arms is enough to make Paladin tier 1.
We'll see! Although it really is disappointing that Level Up! is epic, it's definitively not good enough.
On topic now, Crystal Lion is really good in my opinion for swing turns. Like a turn 6 Stand Against Darkness and Crystal Lion seems busted. It will definitely push the wild archetype.
In standard this is certainly a step towards pussing token pally as an archetype. Maybe this card is so strong it can bring token pally into the meta as a tier two or three deck (doubtful it'll be tier one until some op cheap cards like mustar for battle is printed)
sadly, i think drygulch and level up are meant as muster and quartermaster replacements. and they both suck.
lion is a bit of a boost to bolvar, which is nice.
Level up is ok, the taunt makes up for the 2/5 if you got 5 or so tokens but jailor is way to slow and doesn't even come close to muster for battle. There needs to be a 2/3 mana card that makes lots of dudes that's so strong it's playable by it self, then token pally will be a thing.

Noobs don't realize rarity is suppose to depict the complexity of the card not the quality of the card.
People somehow seem to always suppose that "you are going to have one (or many) Recruit lying around" when in reality if you press hero power and play a minion with the leftover mana you are behind on tempo and this card won't help against that. There are also few cards in standard for Paladin that gain tempo or are tempo efficient that summon Recruits. In the vast majority of games you will lose out on tempo trying to get discounts for this and ultimately lose the game, or you will lose out against other classes as it is just a fair card but nothing else while the other classes play OP tempo cards against you. It's as though they considered nerfing Thing from Below, forgot about it and then dug it up and decided to use it to make a new card. However it will be good in arena, at least.
This card has been performed very well for me in a paladin deck I made based around Silver Hand Recruits. Making it cost even 0 mana is not very dificult. Definetly a very powerful card. I'm using in my deck others new cards like Level Up! that are performing very well too, giving taunt to your 3/3 Silver Hand Recruits can be very annoying.

FOR THE HORDE!
Well Met!
Stand Against Darkness and this on turn 6. Opponent has to choose single target removal or aoe. Probably can't do both
Carpe Diem - Seize the day

Good in the world of HS where hero powers do not exist.
