It has great value and is a decent card overall, but the problem I see is, that it's incredibly slow and forces you to play said minion, if you want to actually get anything out of it. In a control mirror it can be decent, but against all other decks, it's too slow most likely.
The big problem is that Paladin already has a surplus of great weapons: Truesilver, Ashbringer and Grave Vengeance. This will definitely see play in every single Handbuff Paladin, but other decks will have to think carefully about whether they want to run this, because it will mean cutting one of the other weapons.
Additionally the Paladin 6-slot is pretty crowded between both Spikeridged Steed and Tarim.
i really love this card and i think its powerful, but at the same time with all these cards with high costs and low stats with massive effects, i cant help but think every non-aggro deck will be running every silence and transform available to them
It will be very hard to predict, but is also true that midrange and control decks need to think to their winning condition too. The only class that can do it massively is priest with silence (which is a thing only because it's also ammo for the machine gun), mass dispel (which is a card you don't want if there is a decent amount of aggro), and psychic scream.
Its being over-hyped. You are playing an over-costed Truesilver Champion only for the potential of it going infinite and the handbuff. If you stop PogChamping over the potential INFINITE VALUE then you will see this thing isn't as good as most people are saying. In most decks you will choose cheaper options over this. In a handbuff deck this may be alright but besides that Midrange and Control will look at earlier weapon options to control the board.
Why? It will have if there will be control meta. It cant be countered by Ooze ( Well, if you are holding minion, but man, Paladins were always board-heavy )
Slow, but they seem to be giving Control Paladin a lot of options this expansion and this can lead to a lot of pressure. Assuming it appears as a deathrattle effect on the buffed minion and can therefore be silenced? I would definitely run this in a Control deck, maybe even a more mid-range one.
Well, Control-Paladin is going to have a couple of threats that needs to be silenced, so I don't think this is a negative. If they silence the buffed creature from the weapon, then they can't silence Tirion or minions with Spikeridged Steed or the other new Paladin legendary.
it doesn't actually say anything about giving the minion a deathrattle. Probably it just tracks the minion and if it dies you get the weapon back which would be good as you couldn't do something cheesy with umbra. So potentially unsilenceable effect... not the +4/+2 but the reequip thing.
If is true we have the first effective eternal weapon in the game...
Favorite weapon so far. Provides yet another silence target for those hearthpwn deck building masters that plan to have 8 silences in their rank 20 decks.
I think that's great. It's a bit of a tempo loss on the first turn you play this (4 dmg for 6), but then you get it back immediately the next turn by swinging with this again and playing the buffed minion (+4/+2 and 4 dmg for 0 mana) and from that on it's pure value and tempo. Also there are so many things to silence in paladin that you don't even know what to silence anymore. In my opinion this has the potential to be really strong.

So i think that this is the best weapon we saw :)
If there is even a Tier 2 deck with this Weapon ,in one moth ill give you 5€.
Awful tempo card and mediocre grinder card. What are you planning to beat with this weapon? Oldschool control warrior? Outrace pingpriest? That deck will just be more than happy for the extra turn you gave them to gather combo pieces. And what is the archetype for this one, control, N'Zoth or smth?

This combos really well with htat new 1/1 paladin legendary. Insane value.

Really slow And I can't help but wonder if the buffed minion can be silenced to prevent the weapon coming back.

Feral Gibberer
Paladin is now over the top with silence targets. Tirion Fordring, double Spikeridged Steed, and Lynessa Sunsorrow (in a deck with Blessing of Kings), to say nothing of Bonemare. Add in this new weapon and possibly even Bolvar, Fireblood, you can only play so many silences.
I don't care if it sucks, I'm most excited about whipping out Galvadon on day one!

Maybe it will be better when Gadgetzan rotates.
