Battlecry: Take 2 damage. That's pretty mild as drawbacks go.
Demon tag. Very valuable for many reasons. Bloodreaver Gul'dan namely. Bringing back any taunt is extremely valuable and this outclasses Voidwalker.
Conclusion. A solid and well balanced card and will definitely see play in standard. I'm not entirely sure it warrants as much hype as I've seen in this thread because at the end of the day, it is still just a 2 mana 2/4 taunt and we've seen those before (just not in warlock) but a valuable card none the less. I'm voting Very Good.

I think it's seeing all the hype because it can fit into a multiple different decks. Ones that we have established (control lock) but also perhaps bolster some other variants that have fallen off, like Zoo.
But I agree with your assessment, Very Good is what I voted. Mostly because I don't think the card is going to spawn it's own type of deck just make types we have better.
Decent card but not obvious were to put it. Its worse than voidwalker since 1 mana is not worth 1/1 stats + the negative battlecry. So it has to be a deck that runs both.
In Zoo this competes with Keleseth, and youll need more than just 1 good 2 drop. In Control lock Its hard to find a deckslot for this and you dont need more anti aggro cards, maybe if meta gets extremely aggro heavy but thats not likely at the moment.
So the deck i could see this in is a midrange demon lock, were you build around demon synergie.
So in a vacuum, this card is pretty good (2 mana 2/4 taunts being able to trade favorably with the majority of 2-drops), but not GREAT. With the existence of Amethyst Spellstone, however, this card becomes fantastic, as you can upgrade your spellstone AND play a strong 2-drop in one card slot. With the new 1-drop as well, it is very possible for a Warlock to have access to an on-curve super-Fireball that heals them. Given how starved for healing Warlock is, I foresee two of these being staple in control warlock. In Zoo, Keleseth is just too good to pass up on, and Flame Imp exists, so if you wanted to upgrade your spellstone you could just run them and the new Warlock 1-drop and be happy.

I think we'll want 6 spellstone activators in zoo, rather than 4 which won't give good consistent results. Emerald Reaver could be those 5th and 6th cards.
Another option is just forgoing the spellstone in zoo. Zoo's never been about healing and it doesn't necessarily need to start in KaC.
Being +1/+1 over an overstatted 1-drop makes it pretty strong. Also, let's not forget that not all stat points are the same. There's more 2 mana 3/2s that can eat a voidwalker without dying in the meta than there are 3 mana 4/3s in the meta, meaning this will likely trade better than voidwalker with the meta as it is.
The point you make about 3/2s is actually quite spot on. While InnervateSquirming Tentacle would not be considered a broken move, the fact that it synergises with Guldan and the spellstone, makes it push it over the edge in the valuation.
control warlock is back boys, and im loving it.
Let's see...

Another solid card for Warlock that is definitely constructed-worthy in terms of power level.
Bit late to the party, but here's my Quick Take on the card: https://youtu.be/pjguOBtUQ8Q
I'll see if I can get a few more videos going for some of these other interesting cards.

<Sargaras' Advocate>This card is awful, 1 more mana than Voidwalker for +1/+1 with a negative battlecry. </Sargaras' Advocate>
But Hell, it makes Bloodreaver Gul'dan more practical with taunts and it's not as punishing as Lakkari Felhound or Felguard. I love this card.

Very good, will be in most Warlock decks. Also synergy with spellstone...
