Hrm.... I'm thinking some kinda Silver Hand Paladin. Perhaps in Wild? Odd choice but there are spells to summon recruits and Level Up would be a wonderful thing to draw off of this ;)
i figured as much but that's good to know. spamming blizzards/flamestrikes indefinitely, even at the expense of frostbolt/glyph, seems terrifyingly broken.
There is no better way to waste your spells than with this card.
Depends on what you mean by "waste". If by that you mean you run the risk of screwing yourself over by using spells that target, then yes. HOWEVER, there are a lot of spells available that can be worked around this card's abilities, and the smart players will take advantage of it.
Let's run a list, shall we?
- All Secrets
- All AOEs (Flamestrike, Blizzard, Brawl, Sleep with the Fishes, Dragonfire Potion, Etc.)
- All spells that affect enemies only (Breath of Sindragosa, Execute, Sap, Etc.)
- All Spells that would give you random spells anyway (Cabalist Tome and Ruby Spellstone).
All of those can be used as work arounds to make him work.
It's probably best used in constructed shaman card. All the other classes need target spells to make decent decks, but in Shaman just run board buffs/summons/clears that never produce a bad outcome. Especially good with evolve cards.
I am leading towards bad on this. At 8 mana it's not even really good at "cheating out" most spells. I'd maybe try and build a a creature centric priest deck with Free From Amber I guess? Honestly, not a fan of this card.
I think this card could be powerful in a pseudo quest mage combo type of deck. Hitting Molten reflection is a possibility that I havent seen talked about yet and I am particularly excited for. It could also be used in rogue with sprint and their new Kodo like secret, though thats probably pretty bad.
Originally rated it bad, but since we can potentially see some powerful plays from this card: like playing secrets for free, or draw mechanics, or Call of the Wild; it now seems playable (or meme-deck).
This "targets chosen randomly" spell garbage has to go. Get it out of the game.
I don't mind it in this case, because in this case, you actually do have control of the targets, just by choosing spells that don't have targets. This card can get secrets out of your deck and in play, can cast auto flamestrikes and blizzards, can cast mind control and free from amber, and do a ton of great effects that guarantee won't backfire on you. You don't want to run this card with pyroblast or fireball unless you're really in to the memes, but with a good deck, this card is actually pretty great.
Well.... either memelock or even Renounced warlock will be much more fun now. Even if it is 8- cost
Ramp Jade Druid without the Fandral package could run an all upside use of this card.

Ups, yeah my bad, you are correct.
This is GVG with Kobolds and Random Shit.

Seems playable in Big Hunter. Would be nice to have it proc a crushing walls or Call of the Wild turn after turn

This card is unplayable too slow and too inconsistent in good decks.

4/7 body = 5 manas.
If it put a free mage secret from your deck is 1 draw + 3 manas = 8 manas, don't great but don't terrible.
If it put a Flamestrike or Tome is awesome.
Mage? The problem is give up frostbolt.

I actually think this can be a one-of in a Reno deck.

Could be useful in a Control Hunter with Crushing Walls, Deadly Shot, Call of the Wild, Animal Companion, Tracking, some secrets, etc
