Love the idea. Stats aren't good enough to compete with other 6 drop deathrattles unless you build a deck around it. Will be fun to play with but not competitive.
I am told you are allowed to run multiple 6-drops in a deck.
No one shit on the Hunter Deathknight for being "unplayable because of Highmane."
I'm going to assume this is sarcasm ;) Hunter DK fixes Hunter's poor lategame (in theory, in practice it's pretty bad) and does AoE + heal on T6 to help you survive. This isn't a beast and is -1/-1 on the best 6-drop in the game (?) - which hunter already has. If you were desperate for a 3rd/4th 6-drop (don't know what deck is?) then I think you'd choose Cairne instead of this. IMO it's clearly another go at pushing this weird 'play dead' hunter deck they seem to love - I don't think they're aiming for it to be viable.

No, it's not sarcasm. We can agree to disagree (or you can continue to shit on everything I post, up to you).

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
this doesn't go in normal deathrattle hunter, and it definitely does not go in midrange. people comparing it to highmane or cairne are missing the point entirely. it's a combo card you use with just a few desirable deathrattles, either to replicate a powerful effect or to cheat it out early. w/ kathrena, for instance, this gives you the building blocks for a sort of ez big hunter that starts flooding the board w/ huge minions t7/8. im not a huge fan of ez big decks but i like that this gives secret hunter a boost, as you can have non-minion based early game with a potentially strong late-midgame wincon.
It doesn't get going until T8? Big priest works because the resurrect effects are cheap, and Barnes and the statue exist.
It has early game Devilsaur Egg plays and Rexxar, but it's just a random example I made on the spot of how you can design a deck to not have weak deathrattles to improve the consistency of this card and Katherena. I'd probably want to refine it more. And I'm still hoping they add more good early game cards.
I'll probably throw Barnes in.
But this deck, unlike big priest/big druid would be focused on just ending the game with charge minions (Krush, Charged Devilsaur) rather than just playing big things on the board.
I've said it before in the spiteful summoner thread and I'll say it again. What is Blizzard's obsession with High cost minions with poor stats that have a random ability?
They're trying to shake up deckbuilding in ways other than just highlander mechanics. In a deck with no spells below 4 cost, spiteful summoner is guaranteed to be a strong card. In a deck with only good deathrattles (meat wagon, devilsaur egg, abominable bowman, katherena) this card is good. It's potentially a card that you run instead of highmane because in that sort of deck the result is always going to be strong.
Was kinda hyped about an 1/3 1 mana control hunter minion like northshire is for priest cause oozeling sounds kinda small turns out its another overcosted clunky card...
okay fine, fine, I'll give Control Hunter a shot again
Why? This card is crap. Why would you EVER use it instead of Highmane or DK?
'cuz summoning a 5/5 devilsaur, a big random beast from your deck, a big random beast that's died or arguably 5 1/1's is better than summoning 2 2/2s.
The only thing the deck needs now is a stronger early game or for the meta to slow down quite a bit.
Checked out the deck you posted. Seems like a fun one, but I doubt it´ll work.
With this: "The only thing the deck needs now is a stronger early game or for the meta to slow down quite a bit."
You named 2 reasons why this wont work. Hunters early game is so important, because there is no armor gain oder heal in hunter except the DK. Kill Command is useless because there is almost no beast in the deck.
The egg makes no sense as well, because you cant get rid of it. Yes, you can activate its deathrattle, but until then and after that it just sits on the board doing nothing. You payed 4 mana and two cards for a 5/5.
Highmane is better in all regards because of stats, the deathrattle and you can play it on turn 6, while Sleeping Oozeling sits in your hand until finally a beast died (if you got the Abominable Bowman deathrattle).
I guess Unearthed Raptor was too strong after all... Yeah this card is bad.
So you thought only Mage had an exodia combo eh

Mmm
stats might be bad, but not the worst rare ever.
This card could be a reverse Cairne Bloodhoof
It could also like a Kathrena Winterwisp
Seems like it could have some potential, but have to wait and see.
Mmm

in playhearthstone this card is 5 mana 4/3 same effect, that would buff it to more than playable
Good Synergy:
1. Dragon Hunter (ysera, malygos)featuring Meat Wagon
2. Triple tauren chieftain
3. triple sergent sally
4. Triple new legendary
Bad synergy :
1. copying savannah and other low cost beast.
So basically this is card is Faceless Manipulator that copy only deathrattle.

What a terrible stat line. Are you going to play Highmane or this?
