Wow my excitement for this expansion ended faster than expected.
Is it not enough we need to suffer Jade for like 4-6 more months, you give druid a weapon that can't be removed before he has 10 mana crystals and he can do a 20 mana turn now?
You're not thinking cancerous enough. Medivh (breaks Twig), Kun, Ultimate Infestation. 30 mana turn :)
Noobs that think this weapon is playable sees the shiny reward where you get to play like kun + 10 mana + UI fail to see how hard it is to activate this weapon outside of mideve.
You call people noobs but what the heck is Mideve, did you just discover a new card that hasn't been released yet or what?
Most of the time, this is just going to be refreshing most of your existing mana crystals, rather than giving you extra.
What makes it interesting is that if weapons are really popular, your opponent will very likely be running weapon removal. While you have this card up, it makes their weapon removal completely unplayable, putting them at a huge disadvantage.
I dunno if there is that much of a reason to run this 'cause being dead on 4 mana with no impact until at least 5 turns later is pretty garbo. If you could cheat it out before turn 4 where missing a turn doesn't matter as much, that would be cool, but innervate was nerfed so thats unlikely too.
Honestly this is worse than astral communion if you wanted to go full ramp, and very slow in a niche deck. Unless blizz unveils a 5 drop that destroys your own weapon, I can't see this being used as anything as a tech to punish decks running a lot of weapon removal.
Edit: Maybe you could play it and then drop blingtron next turn, that's pretty much the only efficient play.
Why it could be good: play early in the game.. and bank an insane turn later in the game.. playing it into medivh is insane tempo
why it could be bad: if a lot of the other legendary weapons are good, removal will be in damn near every deck.. if your opponent removes it on their turn, after you’ve already ramped up.. you wasted the card.. it also best fits in big Druid.. and it’s going to best played when you really would be better off just ramping..
its really going to depend on the meta.. if big Druid is still powerful, it could see some play in it.. if big Druid goes away, then it won’t
This card isn't about ramping to 10, this card is about having an extra 10 mana crystals that you can use as you want. Once you get this card to have 1 durability, next turn you can go Malygos, hit with the weapon to have 10 mana, faceless your malygos and then go swipe double moonfire for 36 damage to the player and 12 to the enemy board in a single turn. You can't do that with Kun.
Also a class that has UI can never have too much ramp, let's not forget that in the expansion after this one, mire keepers and jade blossoms are rotating out. Also playing this forces your opponent to either remove it when you'd have 8 mana (effectively making this card a 4 mana nourish that also allows you to smack things) or risk that you can go medivh into Kun if you run him into UI for a massive power play.
I think there's a good chance that this card won't be game breaking as a 4 mana legendary gain 2 mana crystals should be manageable, but if your opponent doesn't hit the weapon removal, this card can be game winning. And let's not forget the fact that until people learn to play around this card there will probably be a lot of people who either ramp the druid to 10 on their turn 4, or they either get OTK'd by leaving it up.
Remember, playing a 4 mana 1-5 weapon can be game LOSING too, as the impact of is low, and the ramp is very slow. You could easily get overrun by aggro and midrange decks before turn 8. If you play Nourish afterwards, you speed up a little bit, but you get 2 very weak turns in a row, and probably autolose to Harrison Jones.
This is what I wanted to add. If you can comfortably play this, you are REALLY far ahead, and you probably don't need it. If this is your only play on 4 and you are behind, you are falling farther behind.
Do I understand it correctly, that if I play OOZE on turn 9 against Druid, then he just played Lights justice for 4 mana ?
I meen I see the great line, in T2 - Wildgrowth, T3- Twig, T4 Nourish for crystals, T5 Medivh + Ysharj/UI or smth, but how ofter will this happen?
that's true, there's the counterplay of the card, if played and destroyed by turn 7/8 it doesn't gain that much use and the druid just spent a lot of mana for a bad weapon
this card got risks too which is nice but I don't like being forced to run weapon removal to stand a chance against druid..
Its rather refresh than ramp I think. Otherwise they could print 4 Mana 10/10.
Actually this isnt that broken. We will play more weapon-removal next expansion because every class has a "good weapon". Idc about that mimimi of the other guys who say "4 more month of druid-meta confirmed". They saw this card, turned their brain off and replied.

Bad unless they'll introduce more ways to destroy your weapon (such as new weapons)
Sure, there are some cute scenarios with ramp and medivh that could work, but I don't think this is consistent enough to include as it is

Play this at 4 Mana, nourish at 5, medivh into ui at 8. That sounds like the most broken line of play
Potentially crazy as fuck

I thought maybe they'd release a minion with 'Battlecry: destroy your weapon and gain x'' but that's out of the picture now (at least as a neutral)
