That may be better. Pagle use to be played a lot. He was arguably the most PLAYED legendary. Blizzard nerfed him so that he proc'ed his effect at the beginning of the turn rather that at the end. Mana tide totem is a MUCH better card than pagle because of this.
That is an interesting idea. It still seems fairly weak but it would still be a buff I think even though your chances of getting an additional card is dropping. The 30% chance takes effect as soon as you play him and hit the end button.
there was an idea rolling around here.... i dont remember who said it, but have pagle catch a different fish at each turn... and each fish card would do something different like a 1/1 fish card, +2 buff card, 1 manna 0/1 fish cycle card... etc. Of course, everyone will want the cycle card, but there is a less of a chance getting it while getting some useful cards.
Leave him be plz. As someone mentioned, card draw will be more powerful as more cards are added to the pool. Nat can very well have a bright future after next expansion!
I for one do not miss the paegle-overspark-5mana sylvanas era!
battlecry: give your opponent (2) -1/-1 carp... basically the opposite of mukla's banana... you fill your opponents hand with 2 bad cards so even if he doesn't stay on the board long or even draw you a card, which is the most common scenario, he is at least is playable with the battlecry
no more deathrattle please, it's cancer, undertaker doesn't need anymore cards to buff... the game is already changing it's name to Hearthstone: Undertaker first or concede
The less RNG is in the meta, the better. They should remove most of the RNG effects entirely save for a few like Knife Juggler or Ragnaros. Still don't get why Storm deals 2-3 damage. Just make it 2 FFS.

Storm costs 3 with a 2 mana overload. That's a a 5 mana cost AOE spell. Vs explosive track (2 dmg for 2 mana), Starfall (2 dmg or 5 dmg for 5 mana), consecration (2 dmg +to hero for 4 mana), Holy Nova (2 dmg + to hero+ heal you and your minions for 5 mana), and hellfire (3 dmg to everyone for 4 mana).
On that field, 2-3 sounds balanced correctly, as it doesn't provide any heal, doesn't hit the other hero, and doesn't help or hurt your own minions. If it's going to be made non RNG. it would be way underpowered at straight 2 dmg for 5, in which case it should be made 3 dmg. However, I like it how it is, even when RNG doesn't fall in my favor.
You can use it on turn 3, that's all it needs. Make the overload 1 for all I care, but as it stands, it's rage inducing and comes down to sheer luck whether you lose or win a game in some cases - just like it was with Pagle and Tinkmaster (which I'm really sad that he's gone - should have just made the effect to transform it into a flat 3/3 every time).

Lava Burst is 5 damage for 5 mana, a terrible card - except that it's significantly more useful given the overload. You can combo it with spell damage, Argent Commander, etc, and then pay for that particularly effective turn next round by being short a few mana. You can't directly compare it to Fireball or other similar cards because there has to be some tradeoff for the extra utility of being able to cast earlier; if Lava Burst were 6 damage for 4 mana AND that 4 mana were split into 2 mana and 2 overload, that would be inherently overpowered.
So, it's not really accurate to say flat 2 damage to storm for 5 mana would be underpowered given a direct comparison to consecration, because its initial cost is 3 mana, allowing board clearing 1 turn earlier and giving you 1 extra mana with which to play Bloodmage or something - at the expense of an additional cost next turn.
Maybe in one update, they could buff all the unused legendaries as some sort of hearthstone update/expansion.... Its easier to buff a card than to create an entirely new one.
How much text do you guya want on that dude? This is never ever going to happen!
And no, they want to avoid changing cards as much as possible. Remember they "sell" packs, therefore they will rather create new cards than rework old ones. Remember cards can be buffed indirectly by other cards, like buzzard and houndmaster was with that 1-1 spider or Loot Hoarder with the baron and undertaker.
+1 attack sounds like the most elegant way of buffing him. It'd make him super sick tech against Aggro and amazing for Shaman. I could see many top players running him as a result of this buff (depending on the metagame ofc), without him being used in every deck.
for your information, ysera only reads: "at the end of turn, draw a dream card". replace "dream" with "fish" and you have the card text for the new nat pagle
No. People here talk about keeping the current long card text and adding a deathrattle on top of it.
Nat Pagle is underwhelming. How can we fix this card?
Even with the addition of 1 attack damage he would be a solid card and allow him to trade.
That is my Idea. How do you guys think this card should be reasonably changed to make it a viable card in decks other than preist and druid.

Love that idea.... Alot. You could then fit it into deathrattle themed decks like undertaker zoo and deathrattle shaman.
I liked your first idea. deathrattle "resummon nat with 1 health"

I love how everyone thought that Nat Pagle was still going to be ran in every deck after the nerf. I was not one of those people.

P.S. can't wait for the 2 mana undertaker nerf

i would love to see this happen. as much as it would go against any lore i think as a card it would make it playable again and not overwhelming

A 1-4 with card draw upside for 2 mana? Sounds super OP imo! Compare that to Armorsmith and Gnomish Inventor...

Yep, pretty absurd. Won't be optimal for more aggressive decks, but would be so good in most midrange and control.
