I don't know how much has the meta slowed down in the last three months, but it was way too slow when I was playing Wild to be considered viable. Anyway, it's a great card and if it fits your playstyle go for it! Maybe not golden lol
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.
So, I opened the Darkness in a pack... I am trying it in cubelock and a mill kingsbane deck, but is it actually good?
I need dust for Zola, to play in my Quest Rogue Deck...
What do u guys recon? Does it actually help the wr or is it worth to dust?
thnx
I would not craft Zola nor DE the Darkness tbh. With a big rotation coming up, I think it the dust is much better spent later, and the darkness might find a niche some day, even though he is not performing well now.
While I won't argue, that they are really solid cards and the feeling of getting them in a pack would be an amazing one, I just don't think they should be put in the tier 2 spot atm. Once again, just like my very first post in this thread (mentioning White Eyes), the problem is not their strength, but mostly their popularity and I personally haven't seen them for a long time. Dunno for wild, I don't really play there, but I'm more than sure about my words for standard. When mentioning mage I just think of tempo/secret and probably quest. Neither of them run the dragon, maybe in some big spell variations. I also haven't seen big dudu for a while, so the card's playability has dropped a lot since K&C. The other two cards are just some tech choices, which could easily be replaced. I can only admit, that Harrison could be put in a tier 2.5 spot, since there are notable implications for him in this meta taking into consideration how popular cubelock is, maybe some other weapon classes as well. But he is slow and I have only seen the oozes being used - the normal 3/2 in some warlock decks, the 3/3 mainly in Razapriest.
LOL regarding The Black Knight - I even typed him in hsreplay.net and there were no matches found regarding standard.
I'm not really OK with placing both of them there.
Although control mage isn't a thing in standard and it's pretty clear to me why you put the DK there, I think she deserves either the tier 2.5 spot (which doesn't and won't exist, I know) or just having the additional text, that she has many implications, that she defines almost every control and value mage out there, but it's because how the current environment is formed, that's why we don't see that much of her. Slyde, there are really other DKs, which are seeing a lot more play and maybe they can offer way more bigger win-rates than she does (priest's, warlock's), but if you ask me she is even stronger than most of the cards you listed in the tier 2 spot. Also let's not forget how she was the best DK is the arena format. I know, that the time is not now for her, but you can really write as a small note, that we should watch out for her.
As for Tyrantus - I personally don't think, that he deserves to be put that high, not to mention, that a former popular card among almost all previous metas share the same ranking spot as he does (Archmage Antonidas). I don't know how exactly do those big and beast decks look like, but I haven't seen him in standard like at all. Even when big dudu was a thing, Tyrantus just wasn't there, there was no reason to include him. He didn't provide any taunt, you couldn't land an Earthen Scales on him, he didn't really provide any helpful effect.

Thanks! It is great to get some help finding eastereggs in the list...
About the tier 2 tech cards, I think they stay for now, mainly as I think they belong together as safe crafts from the classic set. The Black Knight is doubtful, though, I will tone down their text a bit.
You are on the money on the tier 3 cards. Will update.
Inb4 dunno if this only happens to me, but I can't seem to open the link regarding the DKs in arena*. If this happens to other people as well, and some actually bother to check the link, then here:
Wickerflame is one of the least played cards according to HSReplay and Shaku is only a few spots above him in the list. Cairne seems to be replaced to after K&C release. Agree with Kovachut about Harrison and TBK. Harrison was expected to rise again with K&C weapons, but i don't see him either. TBK, i can't even find him on HSReplay, as if they don't know he exists :D

I will have a look into it, and you guys are probably right. Cairne Bloodhoof had already been moved from tier 1 to 2, though. As a neutral with strong Bonemare synergy, tier 3 sounds a bit harsh...
Another consideration ATM is giving the cards which are rotating out a slight punishment, or place them where they fit in the Wild format already. The rotations should be linked clarely already. The wild cards will probably be a separate list when the next rotation hits.
So I'm a low budget player, not exactly free to play, I get a $20 card every 1 to 3 expansions. I've been playing since Blackrock Mountain, so my collection has always been in the "nearly complete" stage I can keep up with the meta but if a specific deck gets too powerful/popular, it's down to the card packs weather or not I can play it. The thing that hurts me the most will always be the epics in my opinion.
Anyway like the title says I got a Golden Al'Akir the Windlord today, and I've been playing since the release of Blackrock Mountain, this is actually my very first Golden Legendary ever. Now I don't care about goldens at all, I'm not a whale, and I don't care for the aesthetic of the golden animation, so I never crafted a golden legendary because I would rather want to have 2 legendaries instead of one. I'm also not going to get nostalgic about this being my very first Legendary, like I did my first Legendary Gruul and keep it just to be nostalgic and keep it.
What I care about is having as big of a collection as I can, and having fun playing the game. It's for that reason I don't attempt to climb ladder with whatever meta deck there is, if it matters my highest rank I've ever gotten with this "fun deck mentality" is rank 8 with 2 stars.
So with all that said, I don't mind disenchanting the Golden Al'Akir the Windlord I just want to know, if I should, considering the new No Duplicate Rule that Blizzard recently added. With that said I'm going to put in a poll, and see what people have to say, I most likely will not follow the poll mindlessly, and I will be putting thought into it after the poll is done, and coming to my own decision depending on what people say.
the no duplicate rule is of interest if you are aiming for specific cards you want from that edition and are still opening packs from it as well.
if you don't need the dust just keep it, al'akir is not such a bad card especially since it became an elemental, but I don't believe that card is necessary either. If there is sth else you want to play really badly then go and disenchant it. Since your collection is pretty complete from what you told us (it is private so I don't see what you got), I guess you probably got already the good legendaries from classic, since there are not that many overall and you probably will either buy newer pack editions or save for t he upcoming one, in the worst case after the disenchanting if you are really really unlucky you will just draw al'akir again, which wouldn't be so bad either (through free packs from tavern brawls and spectate a friend quest).
Tier 2: Confessor Paletress, Nexus-Champion Saraad Require you to have your Raza/Anduin set up for maximum value, but will give you some awesome RNG moments to brag about if you are not too worried about your winrate.
Tier 3: Vol'jin A good card, but a bit too slow, and has little synergy with the deck overall. It is very hard to find a space for him, Entomb is better, and is still usually cut.

Its Lyra actually better than Nexus? I still don't know wich pool of options its better (if only Priest ones or all clases)

I am pretty sure Lyra is better, as you just have to cast a spell to trigger multiple times, while you must have played DK to do the same with Nexus. Priest spells are generally pretty good, so I think the pool is slightly better too (although you get some crazy highrolls with Nexus ofc.)
I didn't know my collection was set to private, I just changed it to public. Although after a few days of thought and hearing both sides, I decided to disenchant it, mainly because I don't care for the remaining Legendaries in the Classic set. Sure there are some I'd like but I have most of the good ones, and it's an eventuality I'll have the last ones through Tavern Brawl and Spectate Quest. I think really the thing hurting my collection right now is epics, and I'll probably try focusing those for awhile.

he is used but not used as much as you think if you got spare dust to burn then craft but no way craft the golden version :)
He is a very good card in Control and in Highroll decks. Its not a must craft tho. I'd say it is a soild Tier 2-3 Wild Legendary.

Thanks for the replies !
I was thinking of this deck, looks sweet:)

That set is definatly worth the gold/money if you enjoy wild.
Hey, Slyde, kinda in the mood to express my opinion about the tier list in the context of the current meta and maybe some changes you could consider:

Confessor Paletress, Nexus-Champion Saraad, Lyra the Sunshard, Awaken the Makers and Vol'jin are some cards I really want to try, but don't know wich one would fit better in a Reno Priest deck, and wich brings the more fun. I would like to find the more balanced one between Good and Fun. Any help?
Pretty tried and tested cards, both of them, lyra for standard and quest for wild.
Tier 2: Confessor Paletress, Nexus-Champion Saraad
