The nerf idea is if the minion has used its attack in a turn then it can't attack again so gaining windfury wouldn't allow VF to attack again. For other windfury minions this would make no difference. If you adapt or battlecry a minion remember to use all your attack after adaption which a bit less play flexibility. Do you agree and then no changes are need to VF itself?
I have never understood why it doesn't adapt after attacking minions instead of heroes. Then it doesn't ever auto win because it actively damages itself, and the flavour of the card is unchanged.
Should have a ban in arena if it's as bad as people say, although people only ever talk about the bad times. Not even sure any tier 1-2 deck in constructed even runs this card anyway.
Chances of drafting in arena. Chances of drawing it / Having it in hand. Chances being playable / Best play that turn. Chances of it surviving until following turn. Chances of being able to attack face. Chances of getting Windfury. Chances of surviving again to further benefit from Windfury.
All those chances added together means there's an enormous chance of it being busted and clearly needing a nerf.
Or is it supposed to be multiplied? I can't remember. I'm not too good at statistics.

How about just making it so Vicious Fledgling can only adapt once a turn.
This. It's been said dozens of times in numerous threads (specifically arena).
I think it's been widely agreed upon that's it the best solution so a 3mana card doesn't auto win games.
Windfury isn't a problem, I think they should limit the times Vicious Fledgling can adapt
Make it a 2/2 instead.
A ban from arena is preferable, if it is so much of a problem.
In ladder, you have removals, taunt and trades.
Theamount of constructed games where the Birb actually gets Windfury is quite limited, and even then, not so often lethal.
Yep and no more t1 shinanigans from beast druid anymore. It's really just and arena problem these days.
Nerf? Why?
Is this card meta defining? Nope.
Is this card auto-include? Nope.
Is this card even new? Nope.
Is this card broken with some newer cards? Nope
For me you just sound salty, that's all.

Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
Well, they just kicked it out of Arena, so you won't have to worry about that anymore.
Let's be honest: It was a made-for-Arena card anyway, so now it's just unusable. There's your nerf. ;)
