Was lucky(?) enough to pack him recently and am just wondering would there ever be a way to make him work? Because I know from previous experience that often him on the board against Razakus priest can cause a lot of problems/ cause them to make bad decisions.
Definitely keeping if not just for pure meme value/ so i don't pack him again but yeah keen to hear peoples opinions! :)
Razakus, Auctioneer, Miracle Rogue counter, maybe Dead Man's Warriors. Anyone hung up on animations or multiple card interactions. Or against someone on a phone or slow machine/connection.
It's a big ass dragon. And if you miss other big ass minion, it's a decent substitute. If you have better dragons or big minions, it's not good. Might be good in the future, but it's meeh.
No, never, it's just bad and costs a huge amount of mana, there is no effective use for him, in aggro decks he's way to expensive, an aggro deck that gets to turn 9 is fucked, either the other aggro decks has already won by that turn or the opponent playing control is just gonna be stabilized at that point. On Mid-range decks it's still highly over-costed and there are for sure other 3-4 minions that are better for the deck at that high of a cost. If you are trying to play a control deck then yes it will help you a lot against things like Razakus priest as they have to play a lot of cards with long animations but as a control deck yourself it also fucks you up, there will be a lot of misplays from your side as well as you don't have time to think about your play so at the end it'll just fuck you up really often.
It’s a 9 mana 8/8. that is not a viable stat line per se. And the effect does not contribute anything to the board nor does it give you any value.. So in normal decks it will just be a bad card.
However, it is usable (or abusable) in decks that comprise cards with long end-of-turn animations because they will reduce the time of your opponent’s turn up to the point that he actually does not have a turn at all. From time to time, such a deck pops up like the old brewmaster combo or rafaams curse and blizzard fixes it after a while (but always just for the specific interaction).
In a very slow meta (not happening, sorry!) Nozdormu can be viable. Would be pain in the ass for some combo decks, but since Blizzard methodically kills them (yeah, we still have a pair, doesn't mean anything) - you may just dust it unless you a "I play for fun" type of guy (I am).
He's won me a few games when I picked him from Free From Amber! It's really satisfying seeing slow players fall apart when you play it :D But definitely not worth putting into a deck.
He is never going to be Viable. He is a very well designed card that can really win you games if you play him in scenarios where your opponent has to make a tough decision, or against decks like Exodia Mage, that need time to manage how they are going to spend resources.
well, for it ever to be a viable card they need to adress the core problem with the card. and that is that the mechanic of the card is totaly broken when it can eat, time of each others turns, and that is a HUGE flaw in the design of the card
If i knew that i had exactly 15 seconds to act whenever my turn rolls around it would be fine, but as it stands right now, i get 0 to 15 seconds to act every turn and not exactly 15 seconds as the card states. the have tried to fix the cards lots of times but they never adressed the core problem.
Fix that and the card would be a viable fun suprise card to slap down from time to time but as it stands now, both players can be royaly screwed by the animations and turn eating aspect of the card.
So for the love of elune, fix the damn card properly, make each turn 15 seonds of acting. and not 0-15 seconds.

Also, big dragon for dragon synergy.

Everything that isn't about elephants is irrelephant.

I don't think it would be usable ever.

You can counter lifecoach with that.

It won’t ever be viable :) Not even against the slow decks that robe because they can easily use it against you to steal your entire turn.
Since I play mostly on my phone I hope it is never viable.
Can be played as a tech choice against slow connections. Otherwise junk.
It's viable as a LifeCoach counter. (He was a player who went to the championships and would always rope as he considered his options)
Not sure if hyped yet.
I'm afraid he won't ever. They should have given him an extra keyword at least, taunt or windfury or divine shield.
But if you packed it, i think you can keep him until you are in dire need of dust.

Not really, it's more of a fun gimmicky card.
Most of the time it's just an 9-cost 8/8, which is extremely bad.
*edit* 9-cost.
I discovered once with netherspite historian vs exodia mage. Surprisingly he was fast enough to summon antonidas, 4 apprentice and kill it
He was a viable tech choice against patron warrior back in the day...so who knows, maybe if we see another similar combo deck in the future.

He is either useless or can win you the game :)
There was a card in Alpha stage Worldflipper X-50. That could be a maximum troll combo with Nozdormu.
Greetings, traveler.
Let's make Hunter great.
Might be in the future depends on dragon synergy
