I opened ten packs today, and was it a lucky day to do it? I got 3 legendaries: Two Princes and Sindragosa.
Now, Prince Valanar happened to be golden. I don't have the Lich King yet, But I'm wondering if I should grind this legendary.
I don't usually grind legendary, but Discardlock Quest and a golden Don Han Cho was all I grinded so far within my legendary grinding. Former because I got sick of its RNG and latter... I don't play handbuff stuff often and it wasn't helping during the Un'goro Quest legion of rogues, so I made Aya Blackpaw.
So, should I grind the Fresh Prince of Valanar and make "All Hail, the Lich King" or continue making Valanar jokes?
He does work in Miracle Rogue , but most decklists I come across use Sherazin, Corpse Flower instead. Since I have the former but not the latter, I use him as a substitute whenever I have to play Rogue, but I can't think of a reason to put down the dust.
Conclusion: he is an inferior choice for one deck that isn't played very much anyway. Save your dust for something more powerful and versatile.
Do you care about golden legendary? If no, dust him immediatly and turn it into a Lich King or whatever other legendary you fancy play with. If it wasnt golden i would say, keep him, among the 3 princes is probably the best and there is always the chance to get another in the future, but since it's gold...

Yes? Three Legendaries in 10 packs is amazingly lucky, regardless of what they are. Unless you were being rhetorical...
Anyway, I've seen Prince Valanar see some quality use in Demonlock decks as a late-game health-stabilizer/surprise roadblock, after the other 4-mana cards have been pulled from the deck. Of the nine classes, I think the Warlock is one of the best places for Prince V to make an appearance, because his 4-mana cards can be sacrificed if necessary (Hellfire is nice, but he has other means of clearing like Defile).
The Warlock and Rogue both "benefit" from having 4-mana cards that are not considered mandatory for their decks.
Edit: Considering that you pulled a Golden, I can't honestly say that keeping him is the right call. There are a variety of other Legendaries out there who are more impactful, less restricting, and just plain more fun than Prince Valanar.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3

I disagree. I think Keleseth is the best prince. He has much more impact to the entire game than either of the other princes, and he really shines in agro decks. I've successfully used him in a Hunter Quest deck and a Warlock Gul'dan DK deck.
But, I agree that Valanar should be dusted if he is golden. There are much better legendaries (although I wouldn't necessarily say the Lich King is amazing at the moment. He's decent, but he rarely wins you games).

Agree Prince Keleseth is way better, there are already multiple decks built around him. While Valanar even in decks with weak 4 cost cards it seems meh at best. I could use Saronite Chain gang and feel like it's arguably better.
Prince Valanar has only seen play in Mill Rogue and that's just because the deck has no key 4-cost cards. I'd say it's a safe dust if the meta stays about the same as it is now.

hes in standard miracle rogue as well. wouldnt fit wild miracle though so maybe not worth the 1600 dust

It's golden... it should be dusted unless you are a collector spending thousands for a full set of goldens.
Ask yourself this. If you had 1600 dust would you craft Valanar?
