I would have preferred some other options for the nerf, such as:
1) Refresh 2 mana crystals,
2) The next minion you play this turn costs (2) less, or
3) Gain 2 mana crystals next turn only
1) lets it still be a powerful card but prevents things like turn 1 Vicious Fledgling, 2) makes the card more in line with Preparation, and 3) makes the card much more skill intensive since it telegraphs to your opponent that your opponent has a big turn next turn and allows them a chance to prepare for it. All that being said though, I am very very happy that the card got changed.
#2 totally allows for a turn 1 Vicious Fledgling. But not bad suggestions, still better than Blizzard nerfs.
It was balanced by the fact you could run out of cards and than drawing innervate was horrible .
They should have changed UI because the problem is druid has too much card draw .That makes them able to cycle to their win condition much faster than other control decks .
Since they decided to nerf it I would have liked it to refresh 2 mana crystals . That way it would still be playable in control druids while not being problematic .
I think these are all good changes. The idea behind these changes was to introduce new cards into the Meta. They hit some of the cards that needed a nerf the most. And the Jade package will rotate out soon enough. Will everyone keep playing Jade Druid? I don't think so. Once everyone realizes that they can no longer run 2 x Innervate along with 2 x Spreading Plague and expect the results they get now. I think Aggro will now have a window at 5 Mana where Druid has to decide what to do. If they did ramp the earlier turns then as long as you don't go too wide you can stick to the few buffed minions and profit. If they decide to run 2 x Spreading Plague, then it's going to cost them, and they won't have much to recover. And if they go UI, then they won't be able to 2 x Innervate into another board or armor. Basically, if you run Innervate and Spreading Plague, you can die to aggro now. If you play Jade Druid, you'll probably replace these cards. What will replace Innervate? If you play control, then you can now run a Skulking Geist and not worry about losing tempo against JD. Jade Druid will be a lot slower now, and you don't have to worry so much about picking the aggro druid defense. Should be a good change for the current meta.
TL:DR : no more turn 1 flappy bird. Jade Druid can now be countered with KoFT cards. Nobody is talking about what FWA will do to Pirate Warrior.
What, no refresh 2 crystals? This just makes the card unplayable, and really, Jade didn't rely that much on Innervate anyways.
This feels kinda. Eh. Out of all the options Blizzard considered in their post, they picked the worst one. I'm not a Blizz hater, but, sigh, I wonder what Brode's and the other's think this is gonna fix in the game.
As always they've done the worst possible choice. An unplayable coin for Druid when they've had plenty of other more elegant and interesting options (and they've also considered them!). GG.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
I like that innervate was targeted for nerfing, but I don't like how it was handled.. it made the card a coin which is kinda boring.. could blizzard explain why the refresh 2 mana crystals wasn't used?
Could of been done so much better either as a refresh 2 mana crystals or costs 4 gain 6 but apparently Blizz think new players are to stupid to comprehend a concept like that.
I would change it to cost 3 mana and give you 5 mana, it would still only add 2 mana, but you would only be able to play it after turn 3, making zoo weaker and unable of innervating the jade blossom.
They should also nerf the Ultimate infestation to not give any armor, or set all the numbers to 4.
The Fiery war axe should have battlecry / deathrattle to add X amount of armor OR still cost 2 but it couldnt attack heroes.
This is a huge nerf to all Druid archetypes. Everyone that's whining about jade Druid not getting nerfed is vastly underestimating the power and utility that this card provided. The combination with spreading plague also getting nerfed will allow aggro decks successfully exist again. I'm very happy with the direction Blizzard went and eventually I think you will too!
Welp, basically just going to run 2 mire keepers now when i wasn't running them
Turn 1 pass, turn 2 wild growth, turn 3 mire keeper, turn 4 nurish for mana, you now have 8 mana crystals going on 9, turn 5 if you have coin you can still UI or you can play spreading plague and have 3 mana left over.
I mean, sure...if you ignore Wild Growth, Mire Keeper, Jade Blossom, Nourish, Lunar Visions, Pilfered Power.....
Danassus Aspirant, Grove Tender......
Justicar Trueheart in Rogue?
I think innervate was a fine card .

Now it's just trash .

Surely innervate was problematic but it definitely wasn't the reason druid is broken at the moment,
Don't expect druid to move tier

Hex was balanced before the nerf
I use Hearhpwn but I only play my own decks

Not ignoring them...but erosion does not mean the same thing as disappearance.
Just because class identity can be found in other cards does not mean it can't be watered down or eroded by a nerf to the core set.
Whatever, it has parody with the Rogue card now and that sees plenty of play.
ROFL. The UI scapegoat nerf. Suck it aggro druid, and jade druid still laughs all the way to legend.

It's comical that people think the card will still see any play or that Mire Keeper can fill the void. Druid, as we know it, is over.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
would much rather the nerf was "refresh 2 mana crystals", much better imo.
Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.
Next Set: Counterfeit Innervate: At the start of your next turn, gain 1 Mana Crystal.
