Does anyone know what happens when you play Jaraxxus and then Gul'dan, does your health pool goes back to a maximum of 30? Pretty important with the hero power and Reno.
I quess your max lifetotal goes to 30. Jaraxxus is a minion that turns into a hero and changes your max health to 15, so i bet the Bloodreaver does so. I am as curious as you are.
Jarraxus is his own beast, these new DK Hero cards do not alter your current health in any way (other than the 5 armor gain).
Your logic is flawless friend. I want team 5 confirm this interaction.
BUT! I dont think it is enough to make warlock great again. So it will not see much play, not because the card itself is bad, but because warlock cant support it. I hope that im wrong thouh :D
I am actually cautiously optimistic about the Bloodreaver. I think it may be good enough to flip with Hunter for the worst class in the game. It won't be better than that, I imagine.
How many of you guys played YGO? Discard warlock is beginning to remind me a lot of the early stages of Lightsworn.
Wow! It's amazing to me how people get jacked about shit cards and thumb down great cards.
Bloodreaver is a shit card.
Yes, the Hero Power is incredibly OP. 3 Heal and 3 Damage for 2 Mana is dope. However, we have to get there first.
Is there enough Demons to support Bloodreaver? Is there enough demons to support late game? I don't think so.
2 notable powerhouse Demons, Lakarri Felhound and Doomguard...have the Discard mechanic. We possibly can't put together a Bloodreaver Deck with these 2 in mix. The last thing you want is to discard your DK.
Everybody always talks about inconsistency. A Bloodreaver Deck would would be super inconsistent.
Bloodreaver will not succeed in Standard in this expansion because, like you said, there just aren't any good demons. In Wild, however, the card is fantastic, since you have quality targets such as Mal'Ganis to resummon. The card itself is good, but its support infrastructure in standard is currently lacking (like Deathstalker Rexxar).
I mean, Doomguard has been played in warlock since forever and is perfectly fine outside of discard lock. There are some different circumstances, like no more PO. Also Despicable Dreadlord is damn good. I'd run Bloodreaver with just those two coming back. Basically you'd get back 2 5/7 chargers and a 2 damage sweep to his board. Not bad. Of course that is if you got to play all four.
After playing against this card a bit I find it's decent, unfortunately most meta control classes seem to be able to develop their win conditions faster.
Basically, try to kill everything until you reach Gul'dan or Jaraxxus.
I played a lot of Bloomdoom this meta and it was almost good. There may be hope for something like that here, too. I think it's cute that if you res 2 Dreadlords, you consecrate your opponent. Maybe you can work some Corpsetaker shenanigans in here too.
I made a Gul'dan deck like the one mentioned above, however instead 2x Drain Soul I played Earthen Ring Farseers (to often heal my own minions) 1x Siphon and 1x Blastcrystal and 2x Faceless Shambler instead of 1x Hellfire and 1x Mistress. I'm still experimenting with the build, however I found it to be able to quickly destroy slower decks with the copied giants, just like old Handlock used to do.
I experimented with Humongous and Spellbreaker as well, but it turns out with Defile there's much less need for such defensive tactics.

yes, in all aspects this is better, you summon your 6/6 as a battlecry instead of having to pay 2 and only summon one by turn, you get 5 extra health instead of setting it to 15 and the hero power is the best in the game, including the weapon and heal on top without taking the damage if it were a weapon, making you win against any of the other classes DK hero powers in fatigue even if you are ~2 cards ahead in fatigue

Shit card... you and many more said, about the best DK in the xpac.
<pre class="codeStyle"><span style="font-family: 'arial black', sans-serif;">I scanned the available demons that I could possibly add into my deck and I found the ones not already included in my deck somewhat underwhleming. This garbage is either in your starting hand or in the bottom 2
i spent the whole game trying to control the board while drawing hard for him and he was at the bottom 2 for 4 games in a row, then 1 game in my starting hand, then 2 more games at the bottom 2

Unfortunately, still no nerf for this meta-dominating Death Knight.
As the power level of Witch Wood is not terrifying so far, expect to see a lot of Gul'dan and Voidlord in the coming three months. Almost no card of Control Warrlock rotates out.
I came up with a solid nerf imo. How would you feel if Gold'Man had this battlecry: Discover a friendly Demon that died this game. Summon that Demon and add a copy of it into your hand.

With the risk of starting a war, I will say, that the DK isn't your problem and I can't really understand the hate towards him. Yes, I play control warlock, yes, he is a powerful card, but it no, he isn't broken and he doesn't deserve a nerf.
Possessed Lackey (and probably Skull of the Man'ari) - this is your main offender, why can't some people understand it?! W/o him we actually have to sacrifice demons for Gul'Dan, the whole set-up becomes much harder to fulfill and we won't like to pay 10 mana for the HP itself. Don't you see, that the recruit mechanic is basically cheating and this needs to stop? Why is Barnes such a powerful card in Big Decks or minion-less ones? Because in the early game you get to summon bunch of stats, which your opponent can't deal with. Remove the mechanic from the decks and tell me how they feel? I will tell you how - significantly weaker, because their base is inconsistent and only relies on high-rolls to work.
W/o the lackey warlocks would be obligated to spend 9 mana for a slow taunt, to lose 2 cards for a charging demon and Big Priest could start being proactive only after turn 6, giving all of the time to their opponent to rush them down.
DK Gul'Dan is powerful, no doubt, but for 10 mana this effect is understandable. The old gods reflected some kind of a win-condition and their cost is purposely set to the maximum, because they have a massive impact on the board. But in return they required you to make a huge set-up (buffing Cthun; playing a lot of spells, deathrattle minions; Y'Shaarj - late game tempo), so does Gul'Dan.

Desde de Reno não via motivo para jogar de Bruxo ate chegar esta carta :)!!!!!
I currently play a deck that has this card built into it and I love it. I have been outplayed using it with my opponent playing
Twisting Nether
