The minion itself isn't anything special. The only news here is that we finally have an 11-cost minion for evolve type effects.
Other giants or 10 drops having guaranteed this giant as the effect, sigh.. Not that it matters that much though. Maybe when shaman is facing Rogue with giants.
I am just worried Shaman once again is STACKED with synergies and possibilities. Elementals, Jades (now with Elemental tag, Synergyception), Freeze, more huge taunts (plus freeze on taunts which is a first), Evolve plus double Evolve on the most single cheapest DK of them all. He costs HALF of other DK's and the effect is undisputably destroying. Shamen can easily refill a board and end a game with 6 or 7 mana (wink to nerfed I end the game now Druid) or nullify the best minions from any class for 3 mana. I mean, what kind of numbers crunshing are they doing at the office.. We have to be thankful they didn't print a second Tunnel Trogg I guess even though patches plus Flametongue isn't far off of that. I feel it will be ShamanStone once again for a very long time.

Honestly you don't have anything to worry about. Freeze Shaman isn't gonna be a stand alone deck, there isn't near enough synergy for it. Maybe as part of a Control or Echo variant. Evolve Shaman is inconsistent, the DK is very nice but there are a number of new bad minions to evolve into. At least the Hero Power could add some consistency but then you can't make more minions.
Problem with this card is two folds. First mage and rogue tends to play mre spells than shamans overload. The other problem is the one deck that this has the most potential is aggro shaman in wild This card is too unreliable if you draw it early.
With this, I'm guessing we'll get a card that says "Freeze all minions". That's the only way I can really see this card working out in any capacity.
Mike Donais said we won't see mass freeze for shaman. They're sticking with good single-target freezes.
Frankly I'm excited for this card. I hope it'll play similar to handlock, which used many taunts for stall and crushes the opponent with enormous minions later in the game. This card could be the new Mountain Giant for this archetype, Frozen Crusher could be Molten. The freezes would be analogous to the taunts used for stall in handlock.
Or maybe I'm mischaracterizing Handlock, I'll admit I was really only there for the end of the handlock era.
Mountain Giant was effective in Handlock because you could get it on the board relatively early. I don't think Shaman has enough freeze effects to get this out before the late game, though, which means it's just a low cost big body with no board effect late in the game.
I like freeze Shaman conceptually, but I don't think this card is necessarily all that valuable. Though I suppose it could have some nice synergy with Cryostasis...
Turns out it was actually based on overload, not freeze. I still think this could see play in freeze shaman if you played two elemental destructions, but in standard control shaman I don't think it's good enough. It's a bit of a bummer, the Moorabi synergy would've been nice.
Of course you're probably right about the card when we thought it was based on freezing minions, it might've been too slow. Though maybe it could have been combo'd like with molten, which in hindsight was a better comparison, though frozen crusher isn't nearly as fast as Mountain.
honestly..with the frozen discounts it'd be way faster thanks to the 2/7 taunt that takes like 3 attacks to remove from the board, with overload this is super slower because you'd be way too overloaded to cast your other overloaded cards.

Remember, it's overloaded mana crystals, not just cards with overload. Two Drakkari Defenders and you're more than halfway there. It may take some work to get the cost down to zero, but you don't have to get it that low for the card to be good.
And it's no more unreliable than Arcane Giant when drawn early.
Then again, Snowfury Giant actually makes you pay its full cost ahead of time (in overload), so it's not such a great deal from that perspective. I mean, yes, technically the overload cost is counted in the effect of its own card, so that mana payment is doing double duty, but it's still a tough pill to swallow.

Eh. For Mountain Giant, you paid in tempo (not playing cards for a few turns). For Molten Giant, you paid in health. Before this card, Overload wasn't paying for anything besides the card the overload came from. Now, it contributes to reducing the cost of Snowfury Giant. Also, that Elemental tag makes all the difference. You can easily make more of these with Servant of Kalimos and Moorabi (once the cost is WAY down).
Well, it makes the 3 overload 3/8 taunt pretty decent now. you reduce this to a 5 cost just using both in a match. Not to mention how often you use lightning storm these days so it can probably quickly get down quick. Honestly an amazing card in wild now.
2 claws and 2 jinyu is staple in shaman now so you only need 1 overload to make this playable (6 mana 8/8 elemental) but seems not good enough to play outside elemental deck

What are you talking about? Shamans can be overloaded from turn to turn to turn because the upfront cost of overload is so low. It's not like you need to play elemental destruction every turn...to get a good discount on this.
Also it would not at all be faster with freeze discounts. Not remotely. First of all you assume the 2/7 is going to get multiple hits and not just straight up removed. It might get multiple hits so lets say you hit twice with one of them (because assuming you get both and hit with this a little silly) Now this card costs 9, still not that good. At minimum you'd need at least 5 other sources of freeze to even get this to the same level as Flamewreathed faceless. That is 5 other entire cards, or three if you are really lucky get the other 2/7 and get two freezes with it. At best this isn't going to be coming out till some time well after turn 8 or 9 if you are lucky. Even then you have had to draw and play multiple 1 off freeze effects which are at best inefficient and especially bad if you opponent has a board of three or more minions. Shaman has access to a total of 12 freeze effects. 10 of which are 1 off freezes. 2 which MAY get multiple freezes or none at all. This minion is 11 casting cost. You only have a deck of 30 cards. Running 1/3 of your deck as single card freeze effects, most of which are low impact, low control capability or expensive sounds like a bad plan. You'd also have to draw a good number of those not great cards to really get a good discount.
Now if we look at it being overload instead. Two of Shaman's greatest removal tools, cards that see play now and will continue to do so, lighting storm and Volcano help you to control the board while also contributing 2 each to the reduction in cost. They don't just freeze a minion you still have to deal with, they remove them from the board and empower plays later on down the line. Jade Claws, Overloads 1 and helps to control the early board, again by removing threats and can kill multiple creatures as well. The new 2/8 actually looks a bit more attractive at overload 3. Hell Flamewreathed facelss is still in standard as well. Also don't forget good ole Lighting bolt and Lava burst. Most of these cards overload for 2 or more which is the very best you could hope for out of the 2 of 12 cards you'd need to ensure any sort of significant reduction with freeze effects.
2 claws and 2 jinyu is staple in shaman now so you only need 1 overload to make this playable (6 mana 8/8 elemental) but seems not good enough to play outside elemental deck
Not so much the Jinyu's, but I could see this being staple in aggro shaman, two lightning bolts, two lava bursts, an ancient knowledge, and you have 3 mana 8/8's, which means two could be played along side shamans 3 mana spell "Give your minions deathrattle, add this card to your hand." I could see it being a very solid finisher along with a flametongue.
(I play wild, but go ahead and insert any other 2 overload card in place of ancient knowledge.)

The 3 manas 2/8 taunt overload 3 don't see so bad...
possible 6~7 cost
but its good?
Crusher shaman back?

finally, we can evolve 10 cost minion
4 mana 7/7 0 mana 5/5 taunt and now 0 mana 8/8 elemental. Who says Gadgetzan Auctioneer has the best deals?

Carpe Diem - Seize the day
Fantastic card. Helps evolve/devolve for 10/12 cost minions. And I think Crusher 2.0/Echo Giant Shaman will be a real thing.

Now you can evolve a bad 10-drop into an 8/8. Sick value!

This was needed to allow the Shaman DK Battlecry to work with 9-cost minions as well.

another giant but this time a specific class card
