What is this Blizz! You lied to me. You told us that we will get Shadow priest support and not even a single card is released that supports Shadow priest. You are just showing us copy Trash which we know can never be competitive, it's just for f2p. You have not released a Shadow priest card since ages and you think just 1 card in this set can bring it back?
Nowhere did Blizzard ever mention anything about supporting Shadow Priests. Those are your own personal speculations, nothing more.
Though yeah, this card seems really bad for the same reasons you posted.
That's what the comics and the art suggests. The other classes have lived up to the comic and art(Shaman is getting Freeze as evident in the first image posted by blizzard which featured all Heroes as Death Knights, Hunters are getting Zombeasts, Druids are getting Insects and Board floods, etc)
Shaman's cards have all Freeze mechanics, but their DK has Evolve mechanics, it's not too late to assume Priest might see the same treatment.
This is a bad card. A lesser Thoughtsteal I don't want to say unplayable, because ya never know... but this is probably one of the worst cards revealed so far.
Stop whining for the sake of it. Devour Mind is bad. Okay. Every class gets some bad cards every expansion. And maybe there is some thoughsteal synergy in the set and suddenly these cards become strong and you have a boner.
Only Eternal Servitude is actually good, all the rest are just crap cards. So yes: I understand why many people are quite disappointed about what they've revealed so far for the class.

ENOUGH ALREADY. This obsession with cards that create cards and stealing from your opponent's deck is just absurd. This screams "We've run out of ideas" and we're just 6 full expansions in! If this was released a year from now, after all of the current deck theft cards had left the format then it would probably be fine, but now Priest can play cards on turns 1-5 that generate other cards, mostly from your deck. How is that balanced? If Priest becomes top of the meta I'm going to build the worst possible deck filled with unplayable cards and just confuse them until they win.
Whining for the sake of it? There's a reason why my comment got as many upvotes as it did. These cards are utterly uninspired and terrible. Every other class got new tools to play around with and instead, Priest gets crappy versions of two of their Classic cards, and an unplayable legendary.
Except you don't draw your own card, you can't have the option to chose 2 extra mana instead, and that it looks nothing like nourish, but other than that, yes, that is Nourish for priest ..! ^^
Because Priest is totally going to vanish when they have like 4 Tier 2 decks already [The strength of Priest in that regard being it's unpredictability since they have so many viable decks]
It's not like Warlock which got hit by set rotation; the remaining sets in the rotation giving them jack [What did Warlock get from Streets that is playable?]; hall of fame; card nerfs and an expansion which gave them jack all at the same time.

I really don't think so. Both cards are incredibly slow, but random mage spells are almost always better than 3 random cards from your opponent's deck.

its worse than thoughtsteal, 2 cards in hand is better than 3 cards in deck in almost any situation.
I still think copy into deck without know what you get is bad and hurts draw consistency (this is also true with the legendary)

So; Thoughtsteal gives you 2 cards from the enemy deck for 3 mana.
Thoughtsteal is not played.
So; for a 2/3 increase in Mana; you get a 1/3 increase in effect! So this is worse than Thoughtsteal; a card that sees no play.
Dust it unless you're playing Randuin.

I See a Pattern here for all the spells revealed so far:
Quest Raza Priest
Put 7 Deathrattles into your deck, (I hope we get a new rattle minion)
kazakus and raza
some card draw und utility like every reno deck. these new spells come in handy for all this since you can only have one copy of each.
Maybe HS is going to undergo severe changes or just a new mode, whomever has the biggest deck wins.
This card will get run in Kazakus priest to replace Thoughtsteal. Nothing else.
Also, together with Embrace Shadows, this is another Lyra nerf!!

PinocchioMalygos?"This card is bad and will probably see no play, but it's not THAT bad compared to Thoughtsteal as some people say.
By playing Thoughtsteal you pay 3 mana and 1 card to get 2 cards (+1 card -3 mana).
By playing this you pay 5 mana and 1 card to get 3 cards (+2 cards -5 mana).
So Devour mind has better mana:card ratio (2.5:1) compared to Thoughtsteal (3:1).
We can also just set the mana cost of a card to be 1.5 mana, then Thoughtsteal cost 3+1.5 = 4.5, and devour mind cost 5+1.5 = 6.5.
6.5 mana for 3 cards -> 2.16 mana per card.
4.5 mana for 2 cards -> 2.25 mana per card.
So it's just a bigger slower version of Thoughtsteal
