If you have minions on board, this spell just forces enemy to trade. (Corruption also does the same for 1 mana) Can easily be countered silence. If it succeeds, it's still not good enough because you need wait one more turn due to minion's exhaust status. Instead of "at the start of your turn," they could use "at the end of your opponent's turn,". That would make this card playable in constructed. Now, it's just a spell with unique effect.
This exhaust issue is my concern as well. Though it's possible they will give the minion hidden charge like they do with potion of madnesses. Otherwise it is way to slow.
They can just kill their own minion, and even if they don't you are still giving them an entire turn to use their minion, plus once you steal it you can't attack with it until the next turn (it doesn't get charge), so they can remove it then. It's not entirely terrible however.
Great targets would be stuff like Ysera in Priest, since they can't kill off that easily. Another good one is a sticky minion like Savannah Highmane, if you can afford to take the damage. Tirion and Ragnaros are also great targets since Paladin can't remove their own minions, and they have an effect even if they can't attack.
The problem is that many of these "great targets" are often just as well or better answered by Mind Control.
Similar to Entomb for mana cost and as a removal, it's a good card because can lead to huge tempo swing while giving always at the opponent the possibility to counter it with some work around its effect. That's indeed a good card design.
I think that 1x will see play pretty much in every Priest deck, if the meta slow down a bit. And also is a removal (kind of) for everything that have 4 attack as stat.
6 mana do nothing is not good enough. if you are facing a deck with a big drop and you play this when nothing else is on board they will play another big drop and run the thing you are going to steal face, or hard remove it themselves for any deathrattle since they would have to hard remove it anyway when it was yours. The only place I see for this is if ysera is great in this meta, which only happens in my mind, if priest is great. if priest is great this sees play, but priest has never been the defining deck of a meta.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
Seems decent. Right matchup it's strong, wrong matchup and it's horrible... which pretty much is priest in a nutshell. Should be good against stuff like drakes.
Yeah, I'm having a really hard time getting past the "spend 6 mana and do absolutely nothing this turn" part of the card. It can be good in very limited situations. Sylvanas was great in every situation except where your opponent didn't have a board. That's a weakness I'm more than comfortable living with.
This seems to be good when you don't have a board. When you don't have a board, you really don't want to spend a turn doing nothing. If you live it will be a great board swinger.
Decent card, provided you have the HP to survive another turn with nothing or some lesser taunts. Not fantastic for dragon priest obviously as that's a loss of tempo and the enemy will have plenty of choices to trade that minion off [against your other minions]. More for a slower arch type like control priest who typically have few minions on board and likes to drag games.
Sure silence counters it hard but most decks don't run it nowadays except priest themselves. Perfect vs 4-attack minions like Primordial Drake and Twilight Drake, esp the latter as silence would screw them over as well
So basically you're paying 6 Mana to do absolutely nothing tempo-wise? Entomb was good because it would remove a big minion for further value later, this does nothing the turn you play it, allowing your opponent to continue their tempo push.

Imagine if this was a 6 mana 5/5 that didn't have taunt, but instead randomly had the same effect upon death. Would that minion be bad too?

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
You guys act like a 5/5 body is nothing. Plus the best times to play Sylvanas were right before a Shadowflame or SW:D. Or prior to a N'Zoth. Or some other shenanigans.
Sylvanas was good. This is crap. A 6 mana Corruption most of the time.

If the board state allows your opponent to treat it like a 6-mana Corruption....then maybe don't play it lol. This card is good and you are wrong if you don't think so.
Maybe you've never played Priest, in which case, you get a pass for being wrong.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

This has the strength of sylvanas, but is a non legendary class spell, and you all think its bad.
EL OH EL.
edit: let's clarify
But again, this is a non legendary class spell. Let me also remind you that Shadow Visions is a thing.

This is too slow to be played. If there's something worth it to spend 6 mana, you don't want to give it one more turn to hit your face.

This is strictly worse than Entomb. It's not even close.

I don't understand anyone who thinks this card is bad. This card is ridiculously good.
