Definitely not a bad card, could be used as a 5-cost for non-Priest dragon decks (as they already have Drakonid Operative and Blackwing Corruptor is better, imo).
What dragons really need now, is some sort of neutral 1-2 cost, similar to Twilight Whelp.
Pretty interesting card. I can't help but think it compares a bit unfavorably with dark iron dwarf, a card that is currently not played. That said it does have the upside that if it lives for multiple turns you keep getting buffs. And the buffs do last forever. It's... Solid. I rated bad just because solid cards don't like. Normally see play. But maybe it'll be playable. Especially if you have a somewhat more aggro dragon deck somewhere.
It wouldn't fit too well into Dragon Paladin. Dragon Consort is a much better 5 drop in that deck.
Dragon Priest? Nah, again too many good 5 drops.
Dragon Warrior? Too slow.
What does that leave? Well, nothing really. I did run a Dragon Mage during the Blackrock Mountain era. Maybe I could bring that back? It was always starved of 5 drops...
Dragon Consort rotated out with Blackrock Mountain. Same with Blackwing Corrupter (this is more directed at everyone else).
I actually like this card quite a bit, i'm sure it'll see play in alot of dragon decks, especially priest, paladin and maybe mage aswell, as dragon mage isn't all that bad, neither is dragon warrior come to think of it. lol
This is a tremendous card. I stuck my neck out to vote meta-defining because it will create (or re-create) entire archetypes. The problem with the current state of dragon decks, including Priest, is the inability to consistently activate synergies. This is an easy two-of in any dragon deck, which works with Paladin, Priest, Mage, and Warrior. My guess is at least one of those builds will turn out to be Tier 2 at a minimum, and possibly Tier 1.
Also, how about a hat tip to Blizzard for releasing interesting commons. Not only to avoid dreaded fillers (here's looking at you, Worgen Greaser), but also to make arena interesting as hell for the rest of the year.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Standard Legend - July '16 (Rank 56), June '17, Dec. '18, Apr. '19
Wild Legend - Mar. '18 (Rank 30), Apr. '18, Aug. '19
Twelve Arena Wins - Shaman, Warlock, Mage x2, Rogue, Priest (12-0), Druid, Hallow's End x2, Hunter, Taverns of Time x3 (Pa,D,WL), Paladin
Decent Dragon addition. No immediate impact, but it is still quite strong. This will see play, but we need to see what additional dragons are coming out.
Let's see. A five-cost minion with no immediate impact on the board, no way to protect itself, who requires some other minion to grant its full value and lets the opponent decide on how best to deal with it and the potentially buffed minion?
Yeah, no thanks. The Dragon tag might make it playable because there aren't too many good dragons in Standard, and it'll be okay in Arena.

This card is a craaaaazy good snowball card. It's already a 5/5 for 5. The fact that it buffs creatures constantly is incredible.
Will see play in aggressive decks.

I swear this is the Arena expansion lol
Love me some dragon synergy!

Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.

Hey guys,
Dragon Paladin will be making a return in Wild with the new expansion! Come help me theory craft a Dragon Paladin here:

I have previously reached Legend with a Standard Dragon Paladin list prior to the last rotation. You can see that thread here:

Nice. Unfortunately dragon decks will not be returning, but it can be good in other midrange decks too.
12 wins in ArenA with: Mage and Paladin, first time legend with Rogue
Why does this thread's title has a colon instead of a dash?
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)
Dropping this behind Tar Creeper or Stonehill in the late game makes those 2 offensive threats. Love it.
Voted bad.
I just don't see what kind of deck would really want to play this? It's not terrible, just "meh".
Why is Blizzard trying to revive Dragon Pally all of a sudden?
