TBH this card is a 10 health heal for 5 mana, which is really bad imo. It slows down aggro but it doesn't do much else.
For paladins a card like Holy Light is crap because have much better options but rogue will love have one of this in your matches vs mages, in the same way this is a very good card for druid because he don't have good tools to deal with aggro, jade druid eat control decks alive, if they not weak vs aggro anymore then...
Unfortunately I think this and other "cast again" cards may signal the death of Gadgetzan Auctioneer if it works the way I think it does.
Yep, a 9 mana mill self combo with auctioneer will break the game. /s This doesn't work the way you think it does and these repeated spells will almost never see play with an auctioneer on board unless it's your opponent's.
People say ramp druid is back? Do us ramp players have room for this and nourish? No we don't. A board of 1/5's isn't good in a ramp deck, it's a dead card vs control decks. Better off playing taunts still. This might be ok in token druid. Can't wait to see the Deathknight Moonkin ability though, who knows it might work well with taunts.
What is the ramp and jade weakness? Aggro.
What this card do vs aggro? Win the game.
Questions?
God damnit I was all happy about this card but now I am sad as it could further help Jade.
I'm first going to say I love the design of this card, allows for a board filler that can't be used in degenerate ways.
However, I really don't think its that good. Maybe in metas past, but the aggro decks at the moment are too efficient on board for this to work. Sure, this can slow them down, but at the end of the day they can easily make value trades into your scarabs and leave you just as behind on board as you started. With cards like mark of the lotus and warleader in the meta 1 attack taunts just won't get it done.
Well, 1/5 taunts are not crazy good but if you view it as let's say 5 mana heal for 20 (not an uncommon sight to be heavily outnumbered on board as ramp/jade druid) + weaken enemy minions for your swipe or primordial drake, that's pretty damn good.

Which is precisely why it is going to be strong vs. aggro in Druid hands. Aggro can't let Druid breathe. If they do, they get out-ramped and out-valued. This allows Druid to do that. These aren't meant to clean house in most cases. Sure there's always the dream of comboing with board buffs and such, but more often than not, at least against aggro, this is going to be about simply stalling out their tempo.
so this card is just good in every druid deck. if druid faces aggro it wins with this, token druid had a little trouble versus other aggro but with this they don't. Controlling druids will definitely play this as well because it beats aggro and everyone wants to beat aggro. Also not bad against midrange.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
Druid of the Claw just feels like a more well-rounded card that could fit into more decks than this. (And that's not being played atm).
We'll see. On the fence about this card.
If opponent have 2 minions it gives you 2/10 status vs 4/6, if have 3 is 3/15 status cannot be removed with single removal like Hex, no, this card is a lot better than Druid of The Claw vs aggro, what is your major weakness, with ramp and jade you have a very good match vs control, the only problem for druid will be agressive midrange.
it's worded that way to indicate that regardless, you're always going to get the first minion, even if your opponent has 0 minions, and if they have 2 or more, you get extra based on how many more minions they have
if (enemies >> allies) {
token = token +1
} else {
next_turn();
}
The Leeroy value though!

I If this synergizes with Auctioneer then Jade Druid just got a LOT scarier D:

Finally a card for a non-aggro Token Druid, maybe Illidan will finally see some play!
On the third day before Witchwood, Blizzard gave to me,
three Handlock decks,
two Molten Giants
and a winstreak to Legend Rank #3
Disclaimer: This is a fictional poem and this didn't actually happen to me.
Dunno. Seems like it has very niche usage.

Will these scarabs be brought back by Hadronax, the new Druid legendary?

En passant!
Board clears have always been a weakness of Druid, but now they can instead just build a huge board of their own!
