Great card. As usual, tutor cards are the strongest cards in any card game: they further your game plan by avoiding rng and thinning your deck. Especially in a Paladin deck, in which you'll always play at least 1 divine shield minion - Tirion. There's no point comparing this minion to Stonehill Defender; that's a random discover effect, this is a tutor, meaning it draws you a card you want when you need it. Stats are perfectly fine - and yes, Arcaneologist is broken as a tutor card, so don't compare this with it. This kind of cards is what HS needs more of
Thank you. At least someone understands how card games work.
Cards like this make me realize how bad the HS community is at understanding its own game. This card will be a 2-of in every control paladin.
sorry but I still don't get it :(
I mean particular for control paladin, there is almost never a moment in which you NEED to draw tirion and if you do so, you cannot even play him in the same turn cause it's 11 mana. if you play wickerflame, and want to draw him, you have to go of curve by playing this on turn 3 and play wickerflame turn 4 which is usually only good play against aggro if you could play Hydrologist and pull redemption.. I can't see any use for this card until the will release more paladin cards which could make it viable. not to mention that the stats are horrible for 3 mana and that I really doubt that divine pala will be a thing after all.
Turn 3 draw a Tyrion concept doesn't sound good to me. Next to many better three drops that immediately oppose agro, this will not be as viable as many might think
Keeping in mind that over half the tutoring style cards in the game aren't played. You can't just evaluate them in a vacuum and say they are auto op. They need to also be actually good cards or at least have a really good purpose in your deck. Curator is good because it draws multiple cards and it curves directly into the game winning primordial drake. Archaeologist has absolutely disgusting stats and good synergy with medivh's valet. Do you want to play Tirion on turn 4? No? Is Tirion often a required part of the plan to win immediately against decks on turn eight even? No? Does having Tirion in hand give you some sick synergy? No? Well... Does the card even have stats worthy of being played with the upside of drawing a card...? Maybe.

When did control ever care about playing on curve? Moreover, stats are largely irrelevant for a tutor, because the thing you're tutoring is the goal. As long as the stats/cost aren't crazy awful, they're just a bonus anyway
The entire community is consistently wrong on cards like stonehilll defender, shadow visions, Kabal Courrier, hydrologist etc. unless the stats and applications are painfully obvious (Arcanologist, Dark Peddler). They're probably going to be wrong here, too.
If you're thinking Tirion+N'zoth I think I see the issue. You're living in a world where tempo doesn't matter and you win via playing massive cards. Everyone else is living in the world where you die on turn 6 because you spent your turn 3 playing a 2/2
Edit: Don't get me wrong, I love greed. But damn N'zoth is way too greedy even for me.

Thank you. This card is fantastic in my opinion. 3 mana 2/2 draw your tyrion or wicker, it's just damn good. My favorite part is you can play corpsetaker first on turn 7, then play this guy, draw your tyrion and play him on 8.

I mean...you literally just described the N'Zoth Control Paladin deck which Noblord just took to Dreamhack Atlanta and got 2nd with.
did you ever play NZOTH Pala vs PW or Aggro Druid ?
if you can't play on curve (doomsayer turn 2 , WP + Equ. turn 4 and so on) you loose.
in addition, there are no spots for adding this card in nzoth or control pala, it is just too bad.
Again, you just described a deck that already exists and is successful. I don't understand the disconnect here. I'm not advocating for anything that isn't already a thing.
And yeh - against aggro, control has to stabilize. If it doesn't, it loses. That's not new.
in a midrange deck this is a cheap draw for the card you want, because paladin is getting divine shield synergy. I a slower deck this is draw to find tirion and can be used with a four drop on turn 7 for a smooth curve. Maybe there is a deck like secret paladin in the works that just goes insane on curve, but I hope not.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
Yeah. Tournaments are typically a little bit different from ladder because you have multiple decks, so you can target your decks more towards specific match ups. I do (still) think n'zoth (and cairne) is too greedy for general play. They make a very very heavy deck. Maybe I'm wrong and you can get in enough heals to pull comebacks later on and then just crush people in the late game. But I think in general on the ladder I'd run without them. Especially if I'm making my deck even worse in the early game by running 2 mana 3/3s
Stats are to weak for contructed i think, if you throw board turn 3 you lose most games so i cant see this, also Stonehill is pretty much beating this card to the ground, why would i draw my tirion if i just can get one for free, also 1/4 taunt beats 2/2 all the time.
Even if it's playable it's boring as hell. I expect better blizzard, paladin is my favorite class and I hope for something cool so I can forget about frogloks, i mean murlocs, which I hate.

This is a good point, especially since they are both three drops. Though I don't view this card as something you play on curve. You play this when it looks like you will NEED a tirion if stonehill didn't deliver or if the other two were super magically killed and you need a third. I'd also play it in hand buff to draw out tyrion or wickerflame for some buffs. I will agree (with another poster, not yourself necessarily) there isn't a place for the card right now, but there may be in different decks. Worth experimenting with. I think Tutor effects are pretty strong. Especially when you can narrow down your target to something powerful and good, such as tirion.

I voted bad, because its a good enough card to be playable, there just isn't the room for this kind of card in Paladin.
Made only for that stupid Blood Knight gimmick. Not playing this :(

can also be good with cthuns chosen for the following turn
3 mana 2/2 Battlecry: Draw a card. Not bad. Average.
3 mana 2/2 Battlecry: Draw a minion. Better, probably.
3 mana 2/2 Battlecry: Draw a specific minion from your deck. Holy shit.

Will see play, but not much. Turn 3 draw a Wickerflame Burnbristle or a Tirion Fordring.... Yeah, how is this better than Acolyte of Pain?
