Yeah I'm throwing my hat in the underrated ring, I think this'll come out and surprise a lot of people down the line. You really only have to trade ONE divine shield minion other than Bolvar to make this pretty damn good in terms of stats. If you do it's a 3/7 Divine Shield and then he loses his own and becomes a 5/7... for 5 mana? That's incredible value, really really good.
Depends how viable a Divine Shield heavy deck will be of course but with the new 1/1 and Corpsetaker and Wickerflame etc. I can see it working.
I voted very good. Seems way better than the vast majority of legends in this expansion. A 3/7 + a divine shield for 5 is not bad. Most decks struggle to remove this. Add some buffs (popping divine shields or other things) and it's quickly spiralling out of control.
The cool thing about this card is that it doesn't die to Big Game Hunter.
No body uses big game hunter anymore
I don't know what you guys seeking here card is plain bad and it is especially created to be a bad card. Paladin already have three legendary that is awesome right now
Tirion Fordring it is one of the best legendaries in the game

This card can only be useful in such limited situations in my opinion. I can't think of any, but I guess if you built your deck around exploiting this card and had taunts to protect it AND hope you don't play against heroes with spells who will destroy it, silence it, steal it, kill it....need I go on?

Tirion Fordring it is one of the best legendaries in the game
Sunkeeper Tarim This is one of the best control tools in the game and fits paladin very well
Wickerflame Burnbristle A playable legendary that is able to save player when it is played at right time
There is no other class which have more playable legendaries.
I can't even argue with you lol, I have about 3 or 4 different Paladin decks right now and they have at least three of the four (usually cutting Wickerflame Burnbristle or Ragnaros, Lightlord but not always) but in general you can pack a deck with all four and nobody would bat an eyelash: all four of these are stronk as shit right now lmao. I think Bolvar, Fireblood is gonna be the same. I can't see a reason not to throw him in there and I'll be crafting him day one if I don't open him along with Uther of the Ebon Blade. I'm keeping my streak of always having all Pally legendaries alive!!
Can anyone remember Holy Champion, the Priest Minion ?
4 Mana 3/5 and gets +2 Damage everytimke when someone gettin healed ? This Card was rlyyyyyyyyyy easy to activate and buffed to +7 / Damage with hero power or Holy Nova or Circle of Healing, it was a common one but:
This Card was garbage and some poeple rly think Bolvar is nearly good ?

Well there is diffrence between 5 health minion which can easily die to fireball and 7 health divine shield minion which is only easily removed by hard removal.

...and not to mention it curves well in the Paladin lists (5 mana is where paladin lacks decent cards) and it curves right into spike ridged steed.
I am definitely not saying Bolvar is craftworthy or an auto include in every paladin list, just that people are underestimating his value. remember when everyone thought Tarim, Lyra and Caverns Below were garbage?
sorry i dont like to watch streamers and i am not interested in what they are saying.
but! ben brode in his twitter says that it take the buff if the card is in your hand, and it is not.
so basically is a 1/7 until you drop it, even if you filled the table with divine shield minions when bolvar in your hand and they lose it before you drop it
The cool thing about this card is that it doesn't die to Big Game Hunter.
This into steed seems so juicy.
Release the Kraken!
This may be the sleeper card of the set.

Righteous Defender - Wickerflame Burnbristle - Corpsetaker - Bolvar, Fireblood - Spikeridged Steed - Tirion Fordring etc... + some buffs... I wanna play this deck :-)
Voted playable.
Body is fine, problem is that it doesn't really *do* anything.
The cool thing about this card is that it doesn't die to Big Game Hunter.
very acceptable well stated sticky card, absolutely broken with Spikeridged Steed

love the card. it will see play and be good.
bolvas is not taking the dmg buff when is in your hand
anyone can confirm?
if this case, this card sux
People are still testing this one out and many pros and streamers have predicted it to be pretty good.
Many class can easily ping his divine shield. So, at most he's a 5 mana 3/7 minion. decent stats are kind of bad for a legendary.

bolvar is bugged or don't work as they previously said
