So since this isn't a Battlecry, does she continually get buffed even when in play? That would be interesting. But the text say "discarded" soooo I'm not sure here?
I'm not going to write this off completely yet, but without good discard support (such as the previously mentioned "Discover a discarded card") this card won't see play. An all in heal reliant on discarding cards won't see play, because discarding cards is fucking terrible in a game where you only have 30 of them. The only way I can say this might work is if Warlock gets a way to recover cards, but also more than just this for Lifesteal.
My theory is that they want this to give Warlock midgame heal, leading you into your hero card (which according to the leak is 10 mana), which will do something big (return discarded cards to deck, makes your hero power discover a discarded card, etc)... but that won't work, because this just gets removed every time, because it doesn't actually do anything the turn it's played. It beats aggro relatively well, but loses super hard to any control deck. And therefore is bad, because there are better decks that beat aggro but also stand a chance against control decks.
But it might work more than not at all, which is why I won't say this card is complete trash just yet. It just needs more support... though I'd say that if the deck needs four class legendaries to see play, it probably won't because most people won't invest that much into one class.
I think lifesteal's underrated. The couple minions we've had with that effect have been good (except maybe Mistress of Pain). It may be why they're printing only a few. I'm calling a slower meta ushered in by lifesteal, and Blood Queen making discolock viable (hey, I can dream).
This is a very underrated card because it is a legendary. People are looking at this and wondering how this card will be good without crazy discard support, but in reality the card is arguably pretty good with just two or three discards (5 mana 3/6 that heals for 6 on average.)
Also many have mentioned that the card seems like a control card in an aggressive archetype, but I think that is not really true. Zoo's biggest problem is getting crushed by aggro, and a minion like this that can still be used on the offensive can be very useful in a midrange style deck that can beat the aggro decks. Also, if there is a mechanic that somehow adds discarded cards back to your hand this card can be a little ridiculous
Overall I'm not a huge fan of the discard archetype, but at least we have a synergy card here that finally doesn't have to be discarded to be good
its bad when you draw it too early, but in the midgame is probably a 4/6 or better. 6 toughness is hard to remove, so opponent probably has to attack with 2 minions into it, so on average it will net you 8 life+6 toughness. Thats a much better Healing Bot
But actually I dont see Discolock needs this. In Standard its unplayable (by now) and in wild its a tempodeck.
But yeah, we have to wait whats going on in the expansion, maybe DiscoControl becomes a thing
That does increase her value slightly in a discolock deck. But only slightly... I actually think a non-discard control deck would work better with this. Just buff this in other ways, such as Defender of Argus.
Really?! after all the WL talk, this is the WL leg? just your normal ~3/6 lifesteal minion...
If that's not enough to disgust you, you also have to use discard deck for it to have any value.
It's not exactly total garbage, but a very dull card atm. WL is my fave class except for it's discard mechanic; it's RNG, it's clumsy, it lacks thought and actual decision and strategy, it's ALL I HATE IN HS!
Discard synergies on the legendary AGAIN? Blizzard has already ruined warlock and they intent to keep it that way. Discard is inherently a faster deck and those don't need this card. Discard and control don't mesh well together, so this is - just like the quest - in a position where it wants to be a in a deck that discard inherently doesn't support. It's utterly dumb. The card itself is kinda okayish (although not 'good'), but the fact that it doesn't fit makes it probably not very playable, unless we get ways to add discarded stuff back, so control / mid-range can take a shot at it.
I play a lot with discard and the only archetype works is fully aggro with luck in discards, any midrange/control fails because the discard is random and high cost cards are bad, for 5 manas you will discard this card most of the time.
The discardlock need much more cards do something when are discarded and not an upside for the amount of discarded cards in game.
0/10 terrible card, stop promoting this terrible mechanic, ruined warlock as a whole, if you could choose your discards would like it but as it is now it's too high roll mechanic and really unsasifactory to play it..
as seen with the quest it's really hard to discard enough cards for this to work, and the pay off is too low.
If the slow Discolock Blizzard is trying to push ever becomes viable, this will see play in that deck but this card alone won't make the deck viable.
At first, discard was a drawback. Then mechanics were introduced to make it less severe (Fist and Golem). Then there was Malchezaar's Imp to completely negate the drawback. After that we've had two cards that go beyond that, making it a goal to discard cards just for the sake of it, not just to get extra stats on the discard cards. This is the right move to make, discard mechanic won't see play as long as it is purely a drawback, but what we need now is good discard cards that discard a high amount of cards, and more cards like the Imp that negate the discard effect. Something like "whenever you discard a card, return it to your hand", maybe even as a battlecry or "while this card is in your hand" type of effect.

"Without good discard support" ??? Are you high? We already have zavas, malch imp, silverware golem, and cruel dinomancer, that's 7 cards in your deck that gives a BONUS for discarding. Plus plenty of discard cards. How much more support do you need?
Bolvar all over again, 400 dust and Warlock continues to be unplayable ... woo hoo

Blizzard Board Meeting:
Chair: Alright card designers; Warlock is a dead class right now; how are you going to fix this?
Card Designers: You know how the last few expansions we've really been pushing Discard Warlock?
Chair: Yes; and look at how brlliantly that has worked out.
Card Designers: Well we made the Warlock Class Legendary only playable if you're discarding a large amount of cards.
Chair: BRILLIANT; LET'S SHIP IT!

This expansion seems like a disaster so far lol, I hope the next revealed cards are better...
Dust Queen Lana'Thel
Maybe the Warlock DK hero power will be something like: summon a random minion that you discarded this game??
