I would hope they will add a card that allows you to inflict weapon damage without risking face. like the bow that makes you immune while attacking, but more of like an axe throw spell where it hits one or more targets for the cost of the remaining durability? that would be cool
Just seems bad. Freeze as an effect is already mitigating damage and allows you to develop board. Using single target freeze and then eating the damage just feels bad. And what do you even want to kill with this that Claws, hex, jade lighttning etc cant?
ehh...let's wat and see what happens, the card is interesting to say the least, i tihnk the 1 attack is to avoid this destroying 2 health minions and also to avoid giving value to gluttonous swamp ooze, it has potential to be in the playable side, i mean stranger things have been played, for example Paladins used to Play the Humility+Stampeding Kodo combo
I'm hoping this is what their hero card does. Weapon control shaman with icebreaker and doomhammer could definitely be a thing. I'm glad I'm not the only who thinks this might be where they are going with this card.
I think this card suggests that Shaman might get more ways to freeze opponents, maybe even have their DK hero built around freezing things. So I think we should wait to review this until we can see some more Shaman cards.

I'm going to cautiously put this in the bad category. But it's obvious that there's going to be shaman freeze synergy. Which, if it's good enough, might be enough for this to see play... But I don't think so. They ultimately need to be able to repetitively freeze different minions over the course of several turns for this to be good, without using a bunch of cards of their own. I can't imagine a minion or spell doing that in a way that's reliable enough to be played. That said, maybe their hero card will be able too. Sorta hope not, because free repetitive freezes sounds very annoying to play against for me, but it's possible.

Wow, that has to be one of the worst weapons Blizzard released since GVG, there's no reason it couldn't have had 2 attack other than to make the card completely worthless.

this probably means there will be more freeze cards coming for shaman.
Even so, its not very good. Shamans soft removal is already strong enough I dont think they need any hard removal.

Totally bad card. If minion not freeze, it just 1 attack weapon kill few minion...
I think Frost Shock is good combo with axe, probably the death knight ability will be freeze a minion.
The art for the axe looks a lot like Death's Bite. Could have put more thought into that one blizz.
Well; this basically confirms that the Northrend expansion will have quite a bit of Freeze in it.
