She is great when you have 1 free spot and you need something of value that can(sometimes) be a win condition. Can see her in some control oriented decks.
If I happen to open her up in a pack I might include her in some decks where I don't really know what else to put in. But she isn't exactly critical for any of the decks I am thinking of trying out, so I find it unlikely I will craft her early on.
Why would i want to play it in a midrange deck? Midrange decks dont have too much card draw and they dont tend to go into fatigue. You want to end the game on max. 12th turn.
Midrange decks got to have very precise tools as there is no place for mistakes unless most of the cards in deck are just plain broken like in case of shaman. New elise belongs only in control decks.
I won't put her in any deck lol.She is propably bad or in best case scenario meh...
-''Oh but look those 5 random cards at some point in game that are likely to be epic or legendary''
Yeah to bad that legendaries in ungoro are generally crap unless you build the deck around them.Elise is a noob trap, every bad at deckbuilting player will put her in his deck while drooling just to realise that he plays most of the times a 5 mana 5/5.
I don't think anything outside of greedy control builds will run her. Unguro cards are nice but having an extra 5 in hand won't stop you from reaching fatigue and you could wind up with a pile of worthless minions or cards that require synergies that you don't run. Right now the control builds that are shaping up look like a control warrior (might run her but the quest should be enough to out value most control decks) and control style mage decks with otk combos (which don't need or want a minion that hurts their top deck for the last combo piece). She is definitely nice value but I think she is overrated much like Malkasar was. The old Elise was a staple in control because against control decks it converted your worthless aggro/midrange tech cards into potential win conditions. With Reno gone I don't think games will be long enough for Elise to work well.
Yeah, she will give you 5 cards ( AND THAT IS A VALUE! ), but... but... Is it really legit? I dont think so - She will shuffle card pack to your deck, then you need to draw it, then you need to play it for 2 mana - That is useless for Aggro a Midrange decks! They dont need 5 random cards, they need good curve and lucky draws!
Running Elise in combo decks? Really bad idea... You need to draw your COMBO, not pack with 5 trash cards ( "Trash cards" means you dont need them for your combo ). So no, Elise will not be in Combo decks...
And controls? Yeah, probably. Control decks have a lot of draw, they are not usually playing "Curvestone" and they have a lot of time... So yes, Elise is good opinion in Controls!
Does it counts as 6 cards (1 shuffled pack + 5 cards)?
Yes, this would count as 6 cards but you might only get 1 spell out of this which would be the Un'Goro Pack and the Mage quest Open the Waygate calls for 6 spells that didn't start in your deck.
I don't get the hype this card gets, not at all. 5 random cards, even if they are of supposedly "higher than average quality", are still 5 random cards. The random card draw is good when it synergises with your class, like Webspinner, or Cabalist's Tome. This is literally some random garbage.
Depends on what deck do you play, but Burgly Bully is pretty solid mid game minion and could be more helpful to mage and rogue for example. If you prefer playing the value game and aim to outlast the opponent in the long run, she's quite good tho. 5 extra cards that you get directly in your hand usually don't hurt, unless you can't fit them. A good thing is, unlike Malchezaar, the extra cards doesn't flood your deck and screw your draw, but you get them directly.
I think the main draw of original Elise was that in fatigue decks, you'd stretch the game out to the point where you're bound to draw the Golden Monkey.
In any other kind of deck, it's very likely you won't draw your Un'Goro Pack at all, leaving you with just a 5 mana 5/5 without an immediate effect, similar to White Eyes, but without the taunt or N'Zoth synergy. Even then, it's only 5 random cards instead of a hand/deck full of legends, and you don't even get a nice taunt when you pay the 2 mana to get your cards. It's the kind of card I could see in a super value deck like Reno Mage, but Reno Mage is most likely dead without Reno.
In essence, original Elise seems better than this card, and she certainly didn't see play in every midrange/control deck.
Good in control decks maybe in midrange. If the meta is slow enough
Literally the second option is "I could find something better"
if you're too stupid to understand that means "no I don't think Elise is good" that's your problem.
Still a yes or no question with one unrelated answer.. do n't feel bad I am yet to see any good poll in hpwn even the card rating is too weird what's the difference between "bad" and dust it!?
I hope people do. Then I can be in CHAAAARGE more easily.

And has 5-attack, so Barnabus Druid will see her.

Yes, and I'm going to ladder with "Explore Un'Goro" Warrior right of the bat. Totally serious.

No, Elise is not that good as she seems...

Combine her with Gang Up, and Ethereal Peddler for value?

The only way we will know is through playtesting and see how good the packs are on average and if the meta allows her to be played in control decks .

If I get her I will. I'm using my dust on the Quest cards.

I love cards (and discussions) like this because they provide a handy way to determine which people do or do not understand the game.

Hi i'm Tyler and I play hearthstone and watch anime.
Sometimes i make cards. I'd like to do that for a career one day if ever possible.
It's one of the best cards of the expansion, but it's effect is really only suitable for control.
