I would consider this effect to be worse than Fandral Staghelm. They got the same statline (subpar even for a 4 drop) but Fandral Staghelm is 1 mana cheaper, less random since all the options from the choose one cards are good and it sort of counted as "draw a card" and play it directly. It even worked on some really good minions.
With Lyra the Sunshard you can play a spell, get Purify Silence your Lyra the Sunshard and then concede the game. Would have been fun to actually have a legendary to synergize with the Priest quest instead of yet another gimmick card in priest.
Why did Sylvanas Windrunner need to be removed again? They told us that it was because there was some great Deathrattle synergies that would make Sylvanas Windrunner broken but from the looks of it it doesn't seem to be in this expansion. There are some synergy cards released in this expansion but they pretty much have the same effect as cards released in previous expansions and the available deathrattle minions available to build your quest deck seems rather boring and lackluster. Seems like Priest will have to put its hopes on some other expansion because from the look of things it will not be competitive in this one.
I voted bad for this card. Basicly its not bad. As neutral legendary it would be meta defining. All those cheap spells shaman and rogue could play... Being class legendary also doesnt make it bad. What makes it bad is that its being priest class legendary. For gods sake this was suppose to be a legendary but in best case scenario this is epic card but for me leaning more to be just rare. You should get much more value of it to be worth it crafted and playing it in actual game.
To remain card as it is, a priest legendary card, i would keep whole text as it is but i would add and they cost two (2) less. This way all spells gained through Lyra would be discounted and recycled to gain something out if it. This would be acceptable and i would make the place in my deck for a card like that
As it turns out Lyra the Sunshard is pretty good despite a lot of people saying it bad even trump ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Mostly because 1) Radiant Elemental exists 2) Priest has a lot of cheap spells 3) You cycle your stuff super fast and 4) It is super consistent. Even because of this card Inner Fire Priest was created aka combo priest so a lot of people in this thread is wrong about this card sucks.

although i don't have her and i haven't seen many games with her can you explain me, because i am really curious and want to learn more
is this card good in all MUs, i mean i understand that it helps priest gain more value against other slow decks but against faster ones?

Against faster matchups yeah you just drop it like you'd drop Fandral - because it makes aggro decks react to it or else pay dearly.

Well for control matchups Lyra helps to cycle your spells and at the same time removing the enemy board.
Against OTK decks it does the same thing but also helps you to put heal certain ranges (unless it is the exodia quest mage).
While against aggro it is weaker but it is not too bad as in it helps you cycle your spells to get those important healing spells such as Binding Heal and a few more. Because you are cycling your spells a lot radiant elemental easily most of your already low cost spells EVEN lower aka 0-2 mana most of the times allowing you to cycle even better (your weakness is rng giving high cost spells and time). Against aggro like I said you need to be lucky in you get all the heals and remove the minions or you don't draw Lyra but your other early game stuff and hopefully draw Lyra later on so you can get some more spells to help you beat that aggro down if you are lucky in your opponent does not have the perfect hand.
And it most of the times give you something useful besides that fact that most of priest spells are situational which translates to all the time or so the pros say...
I for one welcome our new Miracle Priest Legendary.
There is no doubt in my mind that because they essentially gave a swingy Antonidas that is WAY cheaper and a defensively stated Sorcerer's Apprentice to Priest, along with a 2 mana Spell that can pull itself or other cheap spells still in your deck, Blizzard is def pushing a Priest Miracle-ish deck. Considering how many cheap cards priest has, and how many of those even cycle, this could be a cornerstone to make some of those ancient priest burst combos work.
Or this can completely fall apart because Horror(Not Purify, as long as you have a target for it on the board, even if you get it, it is still a fairly effective card to draw from and get a new spell from) or the new 8 mana spell end up clogging up the process. Time will tell I certainly wouldn't write it off.
I like coming back to those threads after a while and looking at what people wrote. Now I could have pointed out the hordes of people calling this card unplayable when it was a clearly powerful value engine, but that's a little too easy. I much prefer spotting the dissident opinions who turned out right.
You, sir (or lady), were quite visionary. Although it ain't tier one or anything, Miracle Priest is present on the ladder, and the legendary turned out to be a key piece of it. Bravo!
Okay, I had to return to this thread and upgrade my opinion of the card. Oh, it's still not meta-defining; but it certainly has proven to be better than a poor man's Antonidas.

Not exactly a poor man Antonidas but an Antonidas meant for priests with a lot of rng.
PS lyra won me a good amount of games because of random spells. It is a very rng based card that can consistently give you the value.
I guess Burgly Bully and this in a deck are worth a shot.

Forgot to say that it works well with shadow visions.

Hopefully this answers your question.
Also it works really well with shadow visions.

More evidence that Blizzard actually knows what they are doing and the netnecking whiners are the ones that are clueless. Love it.

If your opponent can't kill it you actually get a lot of value with him. Just depends
Just remember the good times!
Thanks for showing the wine club how stupid their rant sounds to patient people waiting for the whole set
