This isn't as much of a Curvestone card as you guys are making it out to be. A turn 5 4/5 that doesn't impact the board is nothing special, especially since the Elemental deck looks like it's going to be a tempo based deck with late game nukes like Blazecaller and Kalimos. Honestly I think this card is more powerful on turn 7-9 to refuel after playing a Fire Elemental/Blazecaller/Kalimos.
Nope, this is worse. Similar, but more conditional and the prize you discover is random, not something you can swing with right out of your opponent's deck. So basically as good as Tomb Spider, or maybe even worse because of the condition...
I'd prolly only use him to try to sneak out a Blazecaller. Good in heavy elemental synergy decks, not so good anywhere else.

This is *vastly* better than tomb spider for multiple reasons.
Tomb Spider was a 4 mana 3/3, meaning that it valued discovering a card at 1.5 mana (since a 3 mana 3/3 is below average stats) This values discovering a card at 1 mana (since a 4 mana 4/5 is fair stats)
Beasts also lacked many truly amazing cards to discover (Savannah Highmane, mostly) Elementals have a ton of extremely high value targets. (Ragnaros the Firelord, Baron Geddon, Al'Akir the Windlord, Fire Elemental,Neptulon, in addition to the new legendary elementals coming out in this set) What's more, these elementals tend to have an immediate effect on the board, as opposed to the best beasts, which tended to be good because they were costed well for their stats.
If a elemental deck run out of cards is dead, the mechanic become a nightmare in topdeck, because of that, this card is a must have in any elemental deck.
Sure, but you can also get Mukla TOV, Mukla's Champion, Stampeding Kodo, Jeweled Scarab, etc. And those are just the neutral ones! Not even the classes. It's even more now due the amount of new beasts coming in with great effects.
So what's your point?
cards like Netherspite Historian are so good because the dragon tag is so narrow that you have a much higher frequency to get what you want. While Elementals are smaller than Beasts, this is also what makes this card not as good at performing effectively as said Tomb Spider.
You're going to most definitely have those dead no elemental hands, and because this card is already so big you used a good chunk of mana just getting the card even if you did meet the condition.
So overall its a very slow card that can only work in Elemental decks that can sustain long enough to play this and the cards they get out of it.
TL:DR?
Tomb Spider doesn't have the condition, at the expense of being a mid-game costed minion
Netherspite Historian DOES have the condition, with the upside being that it only costs 2 mana, which is extremely efficient.
This card has the worst of both worlds and will not work as well as you're anticipating.

the elemental tag is also fairly small as well however, and shaman has very good class card elementals, which have a higher chance to appear. I'm not saying the servant is always going to grab kali, but this card has very strong choices, it will be good.
I dont think you can cross-class discover the Elementals, based on the priest minion that discovers a ratle minion, I've never seen a minion from another class
Its like Azure Drake, you get a card but its not from the deck, it has 1 more of life but dont have Spell Power and it has sinergy with the race, its good.
This is the kinda card we've needed to keep the elemental curving going on and fufilling the elemental played mechanic. I wonder if you can cross-class discover, aka grabbing kalimos as a mage.
I don't think so, considering cards like netherspite historian doesn't cross classes.

My dream of an elemental deck, has come true.
Servant of Kalimos Stone Sentinel Blazecaller Kalimos, Primal Lord Glacial Shard
Auto include in every elemental deck
So, thanks to the increased chance of getting class cards when discovering, this is going to be pretty sick in certain situations.
Makes me tempted to run an Elemental Paladin deck, just for the sake of effectively running 3 Ragnaros, Lightlord.
"Secret agent coming though"

Tomb spider discovered from a tribe that has many terrible cards that you don't want in any modern constructed deck. (River Crocolisk, Captain's Parrot, Weasel Tunneler, Oasis Snapjaw, Silverback Patriarch, etc) This discovers elementals, which has much fewer bad cards (The Rager Duo mostly, and some situational cards like Arcane Anomaly or Unbound Elemental)

Will see play in Shaman elemental deck to search more kalimos. No reason to not run both copies since kalimos is pretty damn strong

Elemental meta, here we come.
Busted, but it's neutral. 100% meta defining, im just looking forward to games that last more than 6 turns

Just solid value. But I'm getting awfully sick of these "if you have one discover another" cards....
