I don't think this sucks, but there seems to be some hype here, there should not be this card is when you look at it like a doomsayer, but it has a trade off, instead of being a minion that will draw seven damage it is a guaranteed effect, it also does not prevent the enemy from playing minions on their turn, like doomsayer does if they cant kill it.

Just fill your deck with one drops, that is creative deck design, right?
i really love this card, but where was this the last 2 expansions? like seriously this would be the perfect counter to the tunnel trogg totem golem opener, who cares if they play feral spirits if their giant health 1 and 2 drops die for basically nothing. its hard to see where this card will be overpowered at the moment because of lack of heal in warlock with reno rotating, but it is still very powerful and i would expect it to be run instead of corruption if you opt for a tech card like that
Why are people comparing this to Doomsayer? It's so much worse because it gives your opponent initiative. Sure you can play this for 2 mana then set up your own board, but you know what your opponent is going to do? They're going to clear your uncorrupted minions with their corrupted minions, then make a new board with access to more mana than you did, sending you back to square one. Also the effect is not immediate and leaves you prone to dangerous plays like your opponent Shadowstepping back key minions, procing powerful on-board effects like Bloodsail Cultist etc. This might see play as a cheap pseudo-removal, but it certainly isn't some metagame redefining threat.
Since they heavily shifted warlock into discard so far, this card doesnt look good, since its to slow and controlish for the verry aggressive discard style and doesnt seem to fit there.
This is often worse than Doomsayer though because Doomsayer can often be played onto an empty board to force your opponent to pass the turn. In fact, except for mage with Frost Nova, that is often the whole point ofDoomsayer. This card wants to be played when you have lost the board but then your opponent can just go face with the minions that are corrupted and play new minions with no real tempo loss. I think this card will be worse than people think.
Exactly what I thought lol. People on this website don't understand the game that well

Also, doomsayer can be played as '7' armour when your opponent has a board already (so they need to trade into doomsayer). I agree, this card isn't going to be as good as people think.

Only 7 health for 2 mana is extremely bad. Doomsayer is played to clear the board and gain tempo and when it doesn't go off you fall behind. This card actually guarantees a board clear, something Doomsayer doesn't

And doomsayer just absorbed 7+ worth of damage or a removal, which in both cases, is insane for 2 mana. Just take Greater Healing Potion as an example. That is a CLASS card and a PRIEST heal card (who gets a discount on them). And that one doesn't have the chance to kill the entire board and reset initiative in your favor.
not QUITE a doomsayer because it wont prevent your opponent from playing cards, but still a strong control card

Much of the power from doomsayer is preventing your opponents next turn.. this is strictly weaker but interesting.
Aldo doomsayer uses up their resources if they want to prevent it, this doesn't at the upside of being unpreventable
This is in the same boat as Felfire was, it looks like a good board clear at first but is deceptively bad compared to the alternatives.
Why not both
"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"But you are insane. :)
Imagine this with Wailing Soul

This card is bad, dont have impact, also warlock dont have a great damage mitigation (reno says goodbay)
Anyone else bothered by the addition of the word "next" to the description?
I kind of like this. Kind of like a Twisting Nether's drunk uncle. Would probably find a spot in my deck for this if I got it.
But I wouldn't actively craft it, I don't think. But I wouldn't dust it if I got it.
This card could actually be great! it is literally a guaranteed doomsayer
that would be nice addition to Renounce Darkness warlock
Super trash, obvious, nothing to discuss.
