Compared to Small-Time Recruits, at least this provides a body on the board for 2/3 of the effect, making it less of a dead draw if you get it late. And Hunter doesn't have much card draw right now with Quick Shot leaving, so maybe it'll be played.
A Small-Time Recruits on a 3/5 body instead of the third draw, that doesn't sound all that bad to me. At least you won't topdeck your 1-drops in the Lategame as Midrange Hunter anymore, which can really screw you over. Also the 5 mana slot is the weakest in Hunter as of right now.
