I don't get it. Why people here rate this card so high? Its garbage, literally dust.
It's nit like paladin got any turn 2 play, and this card is flexible, it can be played at turns 2 or 3 (or 1 with coin) it's also a murloc, a very synergistic tribe.
It's good for the sheer flexibility, mostly noble sacrifice is the best one against none rogues but you might want another aecret at times.
Okay but say you're playing Murloc Shaman and you discover this murloc: Will you get a choice from every secret or only Paladin secrets?
Someone said Neutral stuff only discovers neutral stuff and stuff from your class, okay I guess that makes sense then. Bad card then Secret Paladin is dead except in wild.
Great card for murloc decks. But what will happen if it's played by a class that doesn't have secrets?
It will be a vanilla 2/2, like playing Drakanoid Operative when your opponent is in fatigue.
This card is awful. Another sigh for Paladin. The card might as well read 3 mana, 2/2, murloc, summon a 2/1 taunt. When looked at that way, its just a Bilefin Tidehunter that cost 1 more and adds 2 stat points.
I'm assuming Paladin gets a new secret (since it's losing two), but unless its on par or better than avenge, this is what you have to chose from:
Actually this card is not that bad, since the actual early game for paladin is Doomsayer or "summon a dude and end turn". Also the secret pool is only 5 cards, so you're pretty much guaranteed to have a noble sacrifice if you're against aggro or a getaway kodo if you're against control, to play with Tirion Fordring or Ragnaros, Lightlord. Not that great, but still better than have to summon a 1/1 and pass... Maybe we'll have some crazy good paladin's secrets in this expansion. Also, since we already saw some paladin cards (Sunkeeper Tarim and Dinosize), we could try to predict that they're pushing paladin to be a boardcentric Midrange/Aggro deck with small minions with divine shield or that gives you some value like this and Tarim or/and Dinosize as finishers... who knows?
Hard to evaluate this card without have seen all cards in the set
Won't see play in Standard. Will see play in Wild. That's something I've noticed. A lot of the cards in this expansion seems to be catered to Wild players.
murloc knight is gone, anyfin is gone. most of the good secrets are gone. so i doubt this will see play even though dark peddler is a good card and this is a similar design.
where this card might see play though is the shaman murloc deck, you could discover this off the 3 mana 3/2 and get some value to go with your value
With secrets we're currently aware will be in standard, this is what it'll be able to discover as of the time of this post:
* Eye for an Eye - garbage * Noble Sacrifice - 2/2 and 2/1 for 3 mana isn't entirely bad, but it's pretty much par-for-the-course at 3 mana (4/3 worth of stats). Only way it's better than a typical 3 drop is if it manages to kill 2 minions by being spread out, or if the Sacrifice ends up saving a key minion * Redemption - assuming you play this on turn 2, it's almost akin to the sacrifice scenario - you get a 2/2 and 2/1 for 3 mana. Having said that, both this and Sacrifice can be a bit more flexible, saving it until you drop a worthwhile minion like Tirion * Repentance - played early game, pretty trashy. Like Mirror Entity, you have to hope that your opponent can't read it as being Repentance and plays something decent into it. * Getaway Kodo - I wouldn't call it strong, but it's very cute. 2/2 for 3 that goes back to your hand when it dies, allowing you to get another secret (that could be another Kodo).
Basically, all the secrets we currently know will be in standard are pretty much meh, making this 2 drop - despite technically being card advantage - seem not very good at all.
Card is terrible and an insult when compared to Arcanologist
Paladin doesn't want an Arcanologist because most Paladin secrets are bad and you don't want to put them in your deck. Discovering them is a lot better for Paladin and if we see a few good secrets or some secret synergy this might see play in the future.

Feels paladin man

If this were not common, I'd say dust it, but even that is not worth it.
Great except it it'd will be annoying as he'll if finja pulls it out.
You can only discover neutral cards or cards in your class. So only pally secrets here.
Very good!

Getaway Kodo and redemption are awesome, so what if you cant spam silver hand recruits.

Reminds me of Tuskar Totemic.
Galavant Animation
Megafin got rekt! Fill your hand with filler cards.
Welp, there goes any chance at a good two drop for pally

Good value. Another Dark Peddler
If the discovered secret costed 0 it would be 100% playable
It's nice paladin has a higher tempo turn 2 play but unless they get a new good secret this is pretty bad.
