This card is not bad acutally (expect Pit Snake Highlights lol)
pit snake is exiting standard.
Pit Snake was never even played in Standard, I don't get why people are worrying about cards that practically don't exist on ladder? The card seems pretty decent to me, I like the mechanic itself a lot.
Can it attack normally? If it can, than its insanely op card that should have never been created
It can attack normally and even if it can it's not even close to insanely OP... I swear some people have no real idea of game balance at all. This is an "okay" card, very good in Arena, probably won't see play in good level Constructed. Not even CLOSE to OP.
Oh of course I dont know what im talking about, only I am a numerous time legend player, who has been playing this game for quite some time and have been really precise with my card predictions. I'll get back to you smartass when ungoro hits.
Lmao.
Go for it buddy. Promise you this won't see consistent high level play.
Here's the problem with stupid predictions like this - we haven't seen the set, so we can't predict the meta. We have no idea if Hunter will even become playable after the set. If Hunter isn't, than this isn't.
It's only natural to want to predict a power level of a card pre-expansion, and though the other cards in the expansion will have an impact - though not sure how they would on this card in particular unless there's a prevalent and actually good poisonous minion - it's only natural to want to give it a go.
I could well be wrong, I fully admit that and will come back and hold my hand up if true. I just don't think I am. What else are we meant to post on this? The quality of a card never exists in a vacuum but right now we can only judge it based on the information we have. On paper, right now, this doesn't seem good enough to me. Maybe it will be, maybe it won't be, but other than that all we can say is "well I like the art"
Usually "pile of stats and a non-negative effect" is a good starting point for a playable card. This is a full 4 points above curve, and they are well distributed.
Feel that's only true at lower mana levels though. When you get to 6-7+ you tend to want them to have big board changing effects and I'm not convinced the auto attack is that. It is definitely aggressively statted though and I'm not going to suggest it's a bad card by any means I'm just not convinced it's a top tier one.
Super interesting card. Essentially a 7 mana 9/9 with super taunt since you have to kill it before playing anything else. Also makes poisonous useful for the first time ever
i dont know why you guys think its bad, hunter finally has a 7 drop. The only reason this card would be bad is if hunter is still bad in the new meta. Yes poison counters it but that is not guaranteed from adapt minions.
Worth noting it says "play" and not "summon", so it doesn't counter stuff like OTK murloc. Still a really powerful card. Like Call of the Wild it's not a question of whether this card good, but whether the hunter deck around it will be good enough, and this isn't nearly as broken as 8 mana CotW was, but we'll see what other tools hunter gets.

It creates board tension though. If you're ahead on board, this basically guarantees you're winning next turn, because it's going to attack face for 1/3 of your opponent's LP. (You can't block it with a taunt, since the taunt will likely die when it's summoned.)
If you're behind on board, it's obviously not as impactful. But it's still a pile of stats that impedes further development, since whatever is summoned before you kill it will probably be removed by it.
I feel like, if Hunter is played (midrange specifically), this is probably good enough to make the cut. The big question, of course, is will midrange hunter be good enough to be played?
Probably my main worry with it - that it's sort of a "win more" card. I don't know, solid enough on it's own, absolutely right that it'll depend on A) how much hard removal is in the game and B) if a late-game control hunter is actually viable. Hard removal in particular because Hunters don't typically have one big minion to remove.
Listen say you dont have a poisonous card or hard removal in hand... This big ass mofo is insane against aggro, its sort of a 9/9 taunt against say zoo decks if you somewhat maintained board control. Say you play control deck, again no hard removal, no sylvanas anymore, you have a big problem. You drop a taunt, it dies, you get hit for 9 next turn.
And just the general idea of midrange hunter is applying pressure and dropping good sticky minions every turn that you need to clear as a control player. Savannah followed by this is insane pressure and by seeing some good taunt cards this expansion there is a big chance the meta will slow down, and that means more control deck and that means midrange hunter will be back to counter them.
lol this card is pretty bad. turn 7 is a tad late to have a reactive big minion come out to stomp around. i'd rather have seen a smaller minion with less mana cost like a 5 mana 6/6 or something with the same power.
This card is very good at an empty board for mid range hunter finally a playable hunter legendary but why ? if you cannot remove this minion with spells that means you will waste least 2 minions and one turn to be able to set a minion to board and cost might increase for opponent it is even better than 8 mana Call of the Wild trust me.

Anyone else bothered by the fact that he just murdered an innocent family of baby murlocs?
When I die, I want to go peacefully and in my sleep like my Grandpa. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.

Nice art, big nasty body, bully effect...no Sylvanas to worry about...there's poison...but will they be popular? I like it.

LUL Poisonous and Sylvanas all over wild xDD
RIP hunter legend again xDD
Cute, but no. It costs 7 mana and gives no benefit if hard-removed. Crap.
