When they changed Yogg-Saron back in 2016, they made it o that if he dies/gets removed etc., he stopped casting spells. My question is does Servant of Yogg-Saron work in this fashion if played alongside a card like Brann. (i.e. You play Brann, then SoYS. The first spell it casts is Soulfire and it hits itself.)
I'll try it, let you know in a bit. I believe it should work
Edit: Jezus, this shit is hard to pull of.
1) people playing netdecks in casual while you're trying to just test this one thing. They're in it to win it 2) Combo must be assmbled 3) Servant must kill himself, something that apparantly never happens when you try it :p
Tested it in practice mode, took like 2 hours yesterday the answer is the second spell take splace even if the servant dies.
For this specifc tests tho you might want to challenge a friend to a standard game, Practice still allows wild cards which means the number of spells is way higher and the spell pool dilutes with a lot of unnecessary spells for this purpose, in standard tho less spells means youa re more likely to get the Servant killed.
edit: what they changed is that none of those used to overload you when they casted overload cards, both of them overload you now.

Do you have the cards to test it? I don't have SoYS so I can't do it
That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.
No I don't have SoYS. That's why I was asking.
Plus it wold require a ton of testing to actually get that scenario to work.
You can just play against Innkeeper. Lol I wish someone else is reading this thread because now I'm curious too.
That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.
tweet this at Disguised Toast. he probably knows. then let us know results.
I'll try it and report back.
Ty very much Sahgos!
No luck so far making it happen. :(

Starting to think this is a good card. Played him with Brann Bronzebeard about 9 times now, and he never did anything negative.
Bloody hell kill yourself already, Servant.
You can play against Innkeeper on Easy. Should save a lot of time if you run cycle and board clears/freeze.
That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.
Ty so much to everyone who has been testing to find an answer to this question.
I don't know how this is relevant but really curious to see how it works.
If you want to make it easier:
Play against a friend or your own account, and play rogue with 2 shadowsteps, 4 brewmasters, 2 ferrymen, 2 kidnappers and 2 gang ups.
S39 Legend - Quest Rogue, S38 Legend - Murloc Paladin, S37 Legend - Miracle Rogue, S36 Top 200 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S35 - Finished Rank 51 Legend - Aggro Shaman, S34 Legend - Aggro Shaman
Except Rogue doesn't get Servant of Yogg Saron, Scout1515 :p

Wow, ok. Thanks for your awesome dedication, as well as everyone else such as Sahgos and Justice171.
