I'm assuming there will be a legendary that will give you the capacity to choose two adaptations, at which point this will be a strong card in constructed. A 5/4 divine shield taunt for 5 is phenomenal, but it will require some sort of synnergy which I am expecting we will see.
First, I wasn't really convinced of this card, but after seeing the choices, I think this can actually be a really powerful mechanic, a 5/4 with divine shield for 5 mana is really good.
Right, but I think an "Adapt" specific multiplier without a multiplier for all battlecrys will make sense. Each set that introduces a new mechanic usually has a multiplier for that mechanic, Baron, Brann, Fandral. I would be surprised if there wasn't a "get 2 adaptations" legendary.
Wonderful art. Mediocre card. I play a lot of beast Druid, and without a lot of help, that motif is dead in standard after the rotation due to the loss of several critical cards, none of which are five drops! I'm not even sure if this card can fight it's way into a deck that already carries 2xStranglethorn and 2xDotC.
Beast Druid needs replacement 2-4 drops, card draw, and something that affords recovery if board control is slipping, not this.
This is actually overpowered, with the current 6 texts it can have. A 5/4 divine shield BEAST, or 8/4 BEAST for 5 cost is actually great. Then you have options for stickness, protecting face, making mages rage(Can't be targeted by spells or hero power). This is a great Aggro and midrange card at the same time. It's literally never bad.
The problem is the powercreep it brings. It's literally better than every divine shield minion in the game, excluding Tirion. Plus, it has the versatility of NOT being a divine shield minion against ping classes(mage), while gaining some other sort of advantage. And it is a beast.
Other texts might make it slightly worse tho, time will tell
Obviously you can't always get the effect you want so if you're after divine shield for example you probably just go with a minion that always has it. I think this card is an attempt at adding more in game decisions to a match like discover. Not sure if it's strong enough but it's good to see them trying to raise the skill cap.
Seems like Blizzard will screw druid another expansion in a row. I don't know why Team 5 hate druid so much, but it's so rare to see new good druid cards. Why should I play a card that forces me to choose between 3 bad options ? There's no way anyone will choose to play this card instead of S.Tiger in beast druid, and outside of beast druid this is just even worse....
The problem is : Blizzard over evaluate versatility.
I can't stand another meta of druid being unviable. If that happens, I'll quit.
It is good enough because it's versatile, and ye, you can't pick whatever you want, but i can have some pretty op effects. 5 mana 5/7 BEast. That's amazing, besides marking this card's spot on the powercreep lounge.
Can't be targeted by spells or hero power might be good if you want it to stick to Menagerie Warden it and not being blasted away by a random Jade Lightning.
Hopefully we don't get a whole new meta defined by 1, 2 and 3 mana cards sporting 'adapt'.
For those saying this isn't a good card, you are right - it will see some arena play though and the effect is cool so it's a fine new card. Attach the new key word to low mana drops and we immediately go from below average to batshit broken.
I wonder if picking the deathrattle effect would cause this card to be considered a deathrattle minion. Personally I think I shouldn't because it's a battlecrt that gives the minion a deathrattle. If it does count as a deathrattle minion that would be pretty good!
All of this Rank 25 talk.....The fact you can adapt to current board and hero situations makes it even more potent because it counters....Low skill players aren't getting it....High skill players understand it.....Exactly what Hearthstone needed...A high skill set new mechanic.

Giving that it says 'Battlecry: Adapt," I think Brann will let you pick two options.
If charge is one of options this card can see play, 5/4 charge for 5 is pretty good.
Well, Brann is rotating out, so I'm imagining there will be some sort of new battlecry multiplier card.

why would you run this over Druid of the Claw? I don't see it.

Wow such a terrible card, gosh...

Legendary minion : ? mana ?/? Card text: at the start of your turns, discover / gain a new random adapt effect. ???

Maybe you might want to sit back and wait for some Adept-synergistic cards before coming to this conclusion.

On their own only +3 health and Stealth look decent on it. I'm not seeing this too efficient. Stranglethorn Tiger > Verdant Longneck
Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
