If control shaman is a thing this card is a thing, control shaman is losing healing wave though but they keep the bog champ core they have now of big stuff + the DR summon this again card..
so if shaman gets only control cards (which I see happening) this is a very good card.. well it's a shaman card, to be expected, it's a full board clear 90% of the time.. not a card for a tempo midrange deck probably but it might be there just as a comeback..
In wild with elemental destruction well shaman might be the king of AOE being able to wipe the board constantly.
It's MUCH better than spreading madness. What made that card horrible is that any number of your hits could hit a face thus making it unreliable for much of anything.
This card only goes for minions. Thus unless there's 15+ health on the board it's a guaranteed board clear. If both of you have a board you can just do some trades to bring the number down before firing this thing. If you are in a bad board position and facing over 15 health of minions then it'll still wipe out most of the board.
If you can do 15 damage to an opponent's minions and STILL are facing a strong threat then the game is over anyway as you're probably facing a jade druid in end game.
It's a FAR more reliable brawl. It's a good card for control shamans.
15 dmg to minions only for essentially 7 isnt that great, but it could be beneficial against a board for a bunch of 4 health/5 health minions of ED gone and lighting storm being inconsistent.
In my Opinion, As of right now I don't think this card will see any play. It's too inconsistent even if Your opponent has a board and you don't. Also Shaman already has a lot of efficient board clears, A.K.A Maelstrom Portal and Lightning Storm. It's definitely a cool card but will I be able to make it to turn five to use this card Efficiently? I don't think so. I'll keep an open mind but right now it seems bad
People who doubt this card ..........think of this, not only a board wipe, but also kills DEATHWING............or Rag or any other giant alone on the board.
Strictly worse Elemental Destruction in most cases, although I guess it snipes off bigger minions better. Nice control toy, although the cost is pretty high.
While better than Spreading Madness, it's certainly worse than Elemental Destruction.
Hallazeal + ED would often heal your hero 20-29 health (basically a Reno), leaves Hallazeal alive with 1-2 health, and only costs 8 mana upfront. This allowed you to also play Lava Shock of Sentinel for the remaining 2 mana on Turn 10+, or at least roll a totem.
Hallazeal + ED maxes out at 15 heal, might outright kill Hallazeal, and costs 10 mana upfront. The 10 mana cost is a big problem, because it requires you not to play any overload cards the previous turn (or have to also play Sentinel), and doesn't allow you to do anything else on the turn of the combo.
This is pretty good. It's a good board clear for a bunch of small minions, and also a good board clear for a couple larger minions (these kind of board clears are very uncommon!). Of course your own board needs to be empty for it to really work properly.
Card is amazing for control shaman. I'm hoping that it works such that deathrattle minions are killed and their effects trigger as the spell is still active (IE. Volcano a Hunter with Kindly Grandmother on board, it kills the 1/1 as well as the 3/2 that spawns from it)
Love the Flavor of this card, i would've hate it if shaman got a new aggro card

Why is everyone saying they'd play elemental destruction over this? Isn't ele destruction rotating out?

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

Still worse than Lightning Storm

Well Warlock got spell 3 mana deal 9 dmg to all characters ( including heroes ) and i havent see it playing.
I bet this will be the same.
Good Arena card. Not sure I like it much for constructed. Could see play though, it has uses.
Galavant Animation
Acolyte of Pain anyone? 8 mana, deal 12 damage, draw 3 cards
replacement for Elemental Destruction

Can't go face so it probably won't see play in Shaman.
Just what Shaman needed, more AoE
