so, the next expansion in 5 months or so will rotate out Reno Jackson i wonder what will happen to reno decks in standard
dont think Kazakus alone can be a reason to run a no duplicate deck , so unless we get another no duplicate support cards from the new expansion will the whole kabal no duplicate theme along with its 4 legendaries (Raza the Chained,Inkmaster Solia,Krul the Unshackled and Kazakus ) will perish from standard ?
dont think blizzard would doom a 3rd of the expansion to live only for a 4/5 months period, that means we would most likely get more support cards for the reno decks in the new expansion that can fill the gap left by reno
I honestly do think that they will move Reno to Classic Set. Without, it unless they create more support for highlander decks... it will die. Beside Freezemage, all other reno decks could not sustain the burst from aggro. Reno makes these decks.
I think there is life after reno for these decks (at least for some of these decks). Warlock naturally fits the reno archetype already and priest has plenty of healing options. I think if any of the kabal decks suffer it'll be mage.
I think Reno Jackson is going to be rotated out. If Blizz is going to rotate, they'll either remove everything, or leave adventure legendaries (or even whole adventures, which would be either bad, or outright terrible). Why leave Reno Jackson, and remove Justicar Trueheart? That will also kill control warr decks.
Imho they're going to check deck popularity and introduce something Reno-esque in a new adventure/expansion.
For some decks where only a few duplicates are run, Kazakus will see some play without the other Kabal legendaries as a card that is an opportunity value play. For the decks that do have the Kabal legendaries these decks will still exist, but they'll have to put some sources of healing in.

Hopefully they add some more highlander support. I'm glad Reno will be rotating out but will miss the types of decks he inspires when he does. Control warlock will almost certainly abandon the highlander style (unless something new and crazy comes along) since they don't run Krul due to his anti-synergy with Jaraxxus and high cost, and Kazakus alone isn't enough to warrant a no dupes style. Control mage will almost most likely abandon this. Inkmaster Solia is played right now because she fits in Renomage but she certainly isn't the center of the deck, and as with warlock, Kazakus isn't really enough of a reason to make a deck with no duplicates. Priest is the one class of the three that I can see keeping some highlander decks around. Raza can make a huge difference in a game (especially with shadowform) and Kazakus is a nice addition to that deck. I can't really imagine these tri-class cards being the only ones Blizz is going to print. It seems likely to me that they are testing it and seeing how the community likes the idea before they print more. It seems so far like people are enjoying it so my fingers are crossed for seeing more from the gangs of gadgetzan.
I think that the loss of Reno may hurt but won't kill the deck type. Kazakus is a pretty huge benefit on its own. The Mage and Priest legendaries as well. It will probably hurt Renolocj the most as it is the most reliant on the big Reno heal to compensate for all the life tapping.
After the rotation I would expect highlander decks to run a bit more early game and not be as greedy with expensive late game cards to adjust for the Reno loss.
Also, with Reno gone, it would open up the design space for more Highlander deck benefits without the risk of it being too OP.
for warlocks, I think it will be very difficult, the key cards for renolock is Emperor Thaurissan, unless these Krul + Kabal Trafficker archetype can be viable. I still have hope for the archetype because the card quality of renodecks right now are much better than pre-MSoG, sometimes you don't even need your reno unless its aggro of course. So the future highlander decks will probably be a counter to control or midrange decks like how it farms Dragon Priests, or Reno Mages now, but fails badly against Jade Druid.
Reno Jackson will not move to standart... I think they will not hear those calling it. Reno will be missed tho. Reno deck will die without heal support (Reno), i guess they will introduce some heal for these type of deck or they let these fun decks die (would be no surpise).
If they don't create a reno-like card it will not be enough with kazakus.
But we will probably see a card like "if no duplicates, gain 15 armor". There is a lot of possibilities: summon two big taunt minions, summon a minion that heal 5 at the end of each turn etc.
I personally don't think we will see a card from wild come to classic set but if they do this, the only card who have a real purpose to move in classic set is reno so, wait & see :)
I don't think Reno will be moved to classic - people are fairly bored of seeing him around anyway, and he restricts design space for the highlander archetype while he's still around.
I think Blizzard will experiment more with the archetype, which we have seen with cards like Solia etc., to maintain diversity. I'm hoping to see effects that promote something other than slow control decks. Maybe something like "one copy blah... destroy an enemy minion", on a decent body.
I was trying to make a renoless reno deck a little bit ago. The best idea i could come up with is "reno" mage, but aggressive, main deck pyroblast for use with solia and kazakus usually gets you aggressive oriented spells.
So 5 bonus health at least and if the aggro want to win he has to trade a 6 health minion. So it's 11 health more to deal for aggro deck.
A lot of aggro damage are 3. so 4/4 is hard to deal with for an aggro deck. It could have been two 0/7 or something like this but I prefer a taunt that destroy enemy minions because if not, the problem is always on board we just gain some time.
The problem is that once blizzard starts printing other cards to make up for highlander decks not having Reno Jackson, the Reno decks in wild will get them as well, and they will still have access to Reno Jackson himself, and then wild will just be a massive reno-fest.
will kabal gang expires in 4/5 months ?

what do you think
My Awesome Decks

I cut Reno from my (now) Raza-Priest. To many high value 6-mana cards and healing usually inst a problem. Have no regrets.
I think kazakus and Reno rotates out at the same time, around april
I'm pretty sure they will add more singleton cards synergy, but that doesn't mean that this archetype will survive long without him.
Reno created and defined this archetype for too long now, it will for sure be missed next year.

Kazakus cannot be enough without Reno but I am sure that they will print something similar to replace it after rotation to keep the archetype.
Depends on what they do with neutral healing. If they make a neutral equivallent of Greater Healing Potion, Reno decks will just use that instead.
And no, I don't think they will move Reno into the Classic set. They've shown that they rather make new cards that fulfill the same purpose.
Sorry, but face is NOT place :P

Not that they really care about wild.

Just collect enough dust to make an investment in Dr. 7 and 2 Belcher and go wild after rotation and remain rich! at least that's my plan.
