I'm trying to think of this card like mirror image, where the token possibly tank 8 damage giants and become 1 mana heal 16 or something. But Protect the king is two more mana and doesn't have the spell synergy mage has. Those cases were extremely rare anyway and it's more likely these tokens die to Unleash/Storm/Knife Juggler/Flamewaker/etc. Alone it doesn't seem good enough and no combo I could think of impresses me. I like the card and hope somehow it's good enough, but right now it seems bad.
Interesting card indeed, I don't know why people bitch this card isn't very good, it's fine. Control Warrior just has another to catch them up if they are behind, if this wasn't a warrior card I'd see why you would think it would be bad, but I think it's a good tech if you're facing against alot of aggro, the only aggro deck this is bad again is tempo mage
It's pretty meh considering warrior is one of the classes that has the least problem with zoo and also in a bolster deck a *combo* doesn't really work, you will rely heavily on you opponent's board position and that's a really big downside, Bolster decks focus on having straight up good minions with taunt like Sen'jin Shieldmasta, the monkey with taunt, Fen Creeper, Evil Heckler and stuff like that mainly because of consistency, having 2 copies of a combo will just make the deck trashier perhaps it'll be a one of in Bolster decks.
I feel like if you don't have Bolster in your hand when you play this, it's just rarely going to be good. A board full of 1/1s without Charge is bound to get killed right away almost every time.
Well in a bolster deck you run a lot of taunts.. So it's not like you wait with bolster for this card.. If you lose board control and can't play bolster this card saves you.. It's a good card to stall the game unless against warrior.. It's a good counter to token decks like zoo..
There are actually more synergies for fatigue/ heavy control decks than I realised. It's good with brawl vs midrange/ control, good on itself vs aggro, damages minions so whirlwinds get rid of more stuff, and my favorite, combo's with Doomsayer. It may not be as effective as frost nova because of boardwipes, but it still makes your doomsayer a lot harder to get to in the lategame where otherwise it would just heal you for 7 at that point.

I was actually coming to this thread to post the Doomsayer thing. The people who are saying this card isn't Unleash the Hounds for Warrior are correct... it's more like a janky Frost Nova for Warrior. It's primary jobs are going to get keeping Doomsayer alive, keeping Frothing Berserker alive, or trying to stall an extra turn to draw into a OHKO combo. Think less "Control Warrior" and more "Freeze Mage" and you'll find uses for this card.
It'd be interesting if Cult Master makes it into OHKO lists. I doubt it, though; pretty dead without Protect the King to back it up.
Heh, I was also coming to this thread to post the doomsayer thing.
A second, fairly reliable board wipe might be what control warrior needs. After all, the only way to get past a high number of 1/1s is AOE. Many aggro decks don't have that or would be substantially slowed down to deal with the combo.

Hearthstone is a game of "copy and pasting"
All warrior needs now is a 1 or 2 mana taunt, and bolster warrior will be a lot of fun.

It could work well enough, but it is obviously a meta-dependent card. Not all decks are good versus tokens.
Bestial Menace
not bad
Frothing Berserker, Protect the King, Bolster, Whirlwindx2, pray your opponent is out of board clears.
Add an extra Bolster if you managed to keep a Frothing from last turn (SOMEHOW).
I would really like to see some Bolster-synergy cards, but unfortunately this will not be viable.
