So definitely a great addition to the dragon paladin archetype, where it finds the perfect niche thanks to Aldor Peacekeeper and Humility that provide a fun twist on how to use this card correctly. Honestly, I was amazed to see how many times this card came in handy on turn 6 or 5 if coined out, to destroy an annoying minion such as a surviving Imp Gang Boss, Tunnel Trogg, Totem Golem or what have you... It actually is that good that you might surprise yourself and pick it from the card selection offered to you by Netherspite Historian (another strong addition to your dragon deck, fyi), so you get an extra removal for later in the game.
In +50 games with dragon paladin today alone, this "Book Wyrm" was never a dead card in hand. Slot well used.
Just saying, it's not as good as you guys think it is.
If you're far behind, sure removing one random 3 attack minion from opponent horde is irrevelant. If you built your deck properly (not a fuckin clustershit of 9 mana costed Dragon) and fight for board that on you average you'll have more or less the same amount of minions than your opponent, he can be a pretty huge swing when Argus come to help.
Its only big problem, if it's one, is that he counter himself. Happened to have Book kill Book kill Book kill Book against a Warrior. Was fun.
Sure it can be good and it's definitely capable of reaching legend. It's just not a staple in dragon decks (or any deck for that matter). It's a solid 3/6 body with a Shadow Word: Pain attached to it. I personally put it as ''playable'' but if I had to choose between bad and very good I'd pick very good.
Really like this card. I run 2 of them in my Dragon Paladin deck. Combo it with Aldor to remove a big threat like Rag or just remove pesky aggro it's never a dead card. I sometimes end up grabbing a third with Netherspite Historian especially if I grab a Humility from Ivory Knight.
I put this card in my Deathwing Reno Mage, and this it's so good, I remove a 3/10 Priest Twilight Dragon, was amazing.
My magic will tear you apart!
I said it was good from the start. I don't understand why anyone thought it was bad to begin with. The effect is insane.
