"Playable" does not mean anything. Every card in the game is playable. Nat and Millhouse are playable.
This card is better than playable because give you 3 things in one slot, a minion, a spell and heal.
This isn't how you rate cards. "nat pagle is better than playable because it gives you 3 things in one slot, a minion, a card draw, and a pseudo-taunt" You see ? It's retarded. Just stop. Ivory knight won't see competitive play just deal with it and have fun with Heal paladin or whatever in Casual mode.
Nat don't give you that, when the ability trigger in end your turn before nerf much people use him, because have a good chance to give you the draw, now trigrer in start of your turn, when the chances of drawing a card is less than 10% (he need to survive and have 50% of chance of draw), and his power is 0, the minions attacking him don't receive damage, if him are 1/4 instead 0/4 will be a lot better, like 1/3 taunt of warlock vs 0/4 taunt neutral card.
So, Nat gives you only a pseudo taunt, not a minion because don't have trade and not draw, don't deserve 2 mana.
This new card give you a 4/4 minion, a spell for sure and in most cases a least 4 life, is more than playable and much better than Nat.
This card is so underrated. Thanks to Ivory Knight, it has saved me many times against Hunter and Warrior in the mid game.
The average heal you get from this card is usually 5-7, you put down a 4/4 with healing effect and a possible AoE / Healing / draw spells on the hand. It is better than an average card. Even if you are close to being lethal by the opponent, it still buys you at least 1-2 more turns before the lethal if he could do. Adding this card to your deck can only help your game, because it doesn't hurt. The worst is getting bad spells and healing for one.
How many times does Azure Drake draw a card that you really need from the deck? If you do need more draw mechanics in the decks, add Acolyte of Pain and Loot Hoarder. Paladin needs early minions anyway.
You can heal and draw with Lay on Hands, but it is too costly to heal, and doesn't provide a minion on the board. The difference between turn 6 and turn 8 is a lot in the late game, especially when Hunter has Call of the Wild
What deck are you putting this in that's not N'zoth Paladin????? It definitely doesnt fit in aggro and Murzoth definitely doesnt have the space for it.
You have better chances to find Anyfin with a simple card draw than with the discover effect.
And if you alredy played 2 Anyfin and need a 3rd one to win the game, then your deck sucks and Ivory knight won't make your deck not suck consistently.
So, yes, garbage. "Playable" does not mean anything. Every card in the game is playable. Nat and Millhouse are playable.
Scoffing at the facts doesn't make them less true. Not only is Ivory Knight being played, it is being played in the most competitive Paladin deck at this time.
Your Anyfin analysis doesn't hold water (pun intended) because it ignores the very important fact that this is a deck that actually benefits greatly from the heal, as well as the fact that there are many, many positive outcomes other than Anyfin when this deck discovers a spell.
But you just keep on theorycrafting away as if people haven't already proven you wrong in actual games on the actual ladder.

To be fair its not as bad as i thought , but sadly its not reliable enough to see play in any Paladin deck if the meta is refined.
When new cards are released the meta is always slower cause ppl dont have optimized decks and play weak and wanky stuff sometimes .This expansion we get an other Dr6 (druid) and Counter decks will be faster and faster so i dont see Murloc Paladin surviving very long at the top ranks , and sadly there is no Room for it in Dragon/ Nzoth Versions.
But hey, its a fun card ;) (PS. Azure Drake gives 4 things in one OMG so OP: Body ,carddraw, Dragontag and spelldamage!)

Okay, now is the time I realize you're a genius troll. Every adventure card is being played right now, and obviously not because they're good, but because people are experimenting. And "the most competitie paladin deck" is like tier 3 dude. Am I still feeding you ? This discussion is over, keep trolling.
Wow, wrong again! Murloc Paladin is tier 2, and Ivory Knight is the card that made it pull ahead of N'Zoth Paladin, which is tier 3.
But go ahead and keep enlightening us with your commentary. It's super entertaining.

I run two Ivory Knight in my midrange Paladin in wild. And also in my Standard Dragon Paladin. Ivory Knight outshines Forbidden Healing by far in non-control decks. This is so much better than a pure heal. It's basically three in one: You develop a board, you get some heal and you get a spell. Admitted, the heal is the not always consistent, but it is enough to survive aggro pressure. And there it is also important that you get something on the board.

Why can't hunters afford to play other classes?
Rexxar is always hunting a loan.
