I see Maexxna as a Cairne variant. It's more vulnerable to Priests, but has better removal. I'm guessing it will become the go-to legendary for mid-range Hunters.
Unfortunately, it's just a tad too slow for most rush decks.
How about, a warrior drop Maexxna with Charge. +2 damage, and no more "Death by Kodo" or Cabal Shadow Priest problems. Instantly kills one minion, and another one, potentially next round. Would be a sweet turn 9 vs. a Malygos or a Ysera.
It also becomes a 4/8, perfect against priests.
Alternatively, could just use a Cruel Taskmaster for a Turn 8, just minus the charge. A 4/7 is still pretty potent.
So many Stampeding Kodo Target's in the cards they announced today. I think running two Kodo's is pretty much mandatory while people figure out what they actually want to play. Killing Maexxna with a Kodo would be pure bliss!
On that note, I do think Maexxna in a Warrior face deck could work well. Warsong Commander and Charge would do well combo'd with this.
But echoing everyone else, it seems pretty expensive for what it does. If its not removed, its great value. But it will more often than not be removed before its done enough work.

At 5 it would be OP. The stats alone are worth 5 (though I will agree that they're not the best distribution).

Silence bait, to be sure. That being said it's still a big body on the field, and buffed would still be nasty to deal with.
I don't like it, too expensive. Too vurneable to kodo, cabal shadow priests and few more.
I bet priests would just love to shadow word pain this!!

Dude - late game hunters just got crazy after turn 5 Tundra Rhino (what's this, 2 Highmane's, a few regular cobras, King Krush - and Maexxna???)

Kodo's value shall increase bease of numerous addtion of 1-2 attack minions.
It should be able to since it is collectible.
Damn I didnt even think about this in a hunter deck that would be amazing!
In my opinion it would be best in a priest deck. Healing/buffing the health of this minion creates a major headache for your opponents.
I guess that Cabal Shadow Priest just become no. 1 pick for all priest decks.

Priest could buff heath on this and it could be extra naughty. On the other hand it is big brother to Emperor Cobra.
