Decent card, if you hit at least 1 minion becomes quite solid. Still, i'd rather play Argent Lance in a control deck, this is really specific with the new divine shield interactions in Paladin (wich i 100% agree with)
I don't think people understand how strong Blood Knight really is. If it absorbs even a single shield it is a huge tempo play. They get a 6/6 for 3 mana, you lose the shield, and likely the board being held together by it.

Emperor Thaurissan on at least one of them, then Stand Against Darkness + Steward of Darkshire + this thing. Watch out for Blood Knights though.
Or better yet, the above combo, but replace "this thing" with Blood Knight, and drop the last sentence.
Also, Shalamayne is apparently a Paladin weapon now, unless King's Defender was the original Shalamayne.

T2 Steward of Darkshire (Coin, Selfless Hero traded to give SoD Divine Shield)
T3 this weapon (to remove an enemy threat)
T4 Knife Juggler / Hero Power
T5 Stand Against Darkness
That's just one scenario. It might become as cancerous as Aggro/Secretdin (given that the most imbalanced card, Divine Favor remains untouched).
Only time will tell but I'm not eager to see another Paladin Meta.
