Totally unexpected - sadly it makes control hunter a little weaker, but the fact that silence still exists made this necessary to prevent face decks from being overwhelmingly efficient like 0 mana soulfire was.

Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is a nightmare.
Well, I don't think this is a change anyone expected, however it is understandable why. They nerfed Soulfire for being 0 mana deal 4, this was 0 damage deal up to 11 damage.
Laughing at everyone in all those BGH threads who said Hunter doesn't have removal. Apparently Blizzard very strongly disagrees!
Honestly, I didn't see this coming, but in light of the big push to slow things down, I can see why it was needed. In fact, it's possible they didn't go far enough.
Well, it makes sense in the end if you compare it with Execute (I know, different classes... but still), which is a very good card (Hunter's Mark is like a reverse Execute). It looks still playable.
This nerf actually doesn't have that much impact; control hunter generally doesn't care all that much about the one mana increase, I don't think. When I find myself using this card I also find that I often have mana leftover, since this card doesn't exactly need perfect curve, it just needs to combo and more often than not you're going to have a cheap card or minion that can take care of it without using up all your mana.
On a different note, have you guys noticed no legendaries were nerfed and this is the only basic card that got nerfed? Does that mean we can conclude this WAS actually the most powerful basic card balancewise?
I'm just another one of those. You know, those who do things. Things that need to be done by those that do these things in order to do those things that don't do these things themselves. Has the word 'things' lost meaning to you already?
This seems like a neutral change in almost any situation--literally not good nor bad. I honestly don't think 0 or 1 matters in a hunter deck. I could be wrong. Unleash the Hounds + Knife Juggler + Hunter's Mark can't be used on turn 5 without coin now, so maybe that's good enough.
I don't think this is a HUGE nerf, though I have only been playing a little bit of hunter lately I feel like when I am casting hunters mark, it was nice that is was 0 mana. but not always needed, as hunter is not always mana efficient

Hunters's mark is receiving a nerf!
I didn't have a signature so Flux added one for me.
Q.Q though i must admit it was insanely strong

Completely unneeded, must mean they are scared of control hunter being too good.
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
Actually, this card really deserved nerf. This version is balanced.
My custom Expansion: Wrath of The Lich King
no one cares about this...
face is the place... no more Sludge Belcher tho...
S U P E R !!
Definitely deserved, needed some disadvantage similar to Soulfire's nerf
I liked.. at 0-mana it was very powerful and with no drawback

Because slow Hunter decks needed nerfing . . .
Do you not think Druid got nerfed enough...?
I dont like it being nerfed, but i guess it's not the end of the world. A pre-emptive execute i guess...

[Game] Name another card that has the same...
Unexpected is the most I can say. Might be irrelevant, might be too much or might be just enough
Whoever designed Jade Idol and thought it was a good and healthy card for the game has clearly never played HS.
Wow some of these are actually quite fair. Love it!
