This is massively over the top, rogue doesn't have any top tier decks, this just pushes the class down further.
Guess you pay more attention to Tempostorm than actual professional tournaments, where there are a LOT of Rogue decks that do very, very well against your so-called "top tier" decks.
A tournament meta is much different from a ladder meta.
And yet the people who play Rogue in tournaments also use it extensively on ladder.
The only reason it's not "top tier" is because it's hard to play, not because it's underpowered.

Too many people look at this assuming that Rogue will never receive another AoE spell ever again. They nerfed it precisely for the reason that they can now make more interesting removal spells!

Early on is great and all but in the long run I don't see it being viable. Malyrogue is probably still the way to go

First, the fact that the deck is good in tournaments doesn't mean it's good on ladder, in tournaments line-up is usually made countering some specific deck. Also, there are no rogue decks used much on the ladder ATM, even oil isn't a high tier deck, it's just not as good as it was. I have only met Rogue like once or twice this season. If there aren't some crazy cards coming for rogue, the class is compleatly dead.
Damn. I see the point of this nerf, this card limited design space like no other, but that's just harsh. The card is absolutely dead right now the way I see it. 4 mana would be bad enough, but this would still be playable - no player damage limits the potential of this card tremendously. The only nerf I really didn't see coming.
But hey, maybe it means more poisons/weapons/weapon based tools for rogue.
This will be fine if they print Rogue an actually useable AoE clear since they both need one now and if they really want a control Rogue it would be invaluable to them. If not Rogue might be the new shaman in standard, especially with neutral aggro cards and all OTK cards being nerfed.

Clap, clap, Blizzard. That's by far the most stupid nerf I have ever seen.
They also added a quest with this nerf :
Catch Valeera: "Meet and defeat Valeera in Ladder" => 500 Gold Kappa.
It should have been 3 mana with same text minions only...The 4 mana is overkill.

I agree that 4 mana is quite expensive, it's now the same as Shadowflame yet it's easier to have a huge attack minion in play than a huge weapon.
I just believe that Rogue will now get more weapon-focused tools now that they just can't deal tons of damage to the face with Flurry.
