...doesn't feel like it should be an epic. anyway, 6 cost with 8 health, likely it will survive and on your opponents turn it will be a 4/8, assuming they didn't kill it. 6 cost 4/8 is meh stat wise but if you manage to last 1 more turn, you get an 8/8 minion...but how likely will this even last to a point where it gets to 8/8?
A generic dragon. You can play it in decks that can buff it up huge. Paladin? give it +4/+4 and next turn it's a 12/12.. Priest.. Enemy will have to waste some stuff to get it off the board.
When this gets to 8 attack can we have the drake say "Started from 2 attack and now I'm here."
I actually think this is a great card for priests. Combo's well with Velen's Chosen and Inner Fire. And as far as playing against it, can be removed with Pain, Horror and Death if it gets too big. Finally something goes the priest's way. The light shall burn you!
This could be awesome in the Dragon deck meta. Dragons decks right now suffer a lot by not having enough damage. A lot of the heavy hitters like Chromaggus or Nefarian take too many turns to cast.
I know it's a slow card, but Nightmare Dragon + Dragon Consort is a nifty combo. Add on a Blessing of Might or a Seal of Champions and I think it could see play. As others posted, though... it's way to early to tell. Need to see the whole expansion before we know if it will see play.

Rarity has nothing to do with stats or raw power. This card is exactly what an epic card is supposed to be -- not super powerful on the surface, but capable of changing the game if played in the right situation or in combination with the right cards.
I'll one up ya. drop 2 Cold Bloods on turn 8 w/ a coin. That's a 20 attack next turn. If you can't OTK on turn 9 with that in a Rogue deck, you should quit playing. This card is HUGE.
OMG Dragon decks. ...and BTW has anyone considered a stat swap? Lol. That's fun.
I'd rather use Sylvanas for 6 mana, than to put this garbage in the deck.
In a dragon oriented deck is more useful than Sylvanas, the problem is priest.
I'd still use Sylvanas over this.
Gahz'rilla has a similar effect, and nobody uses it. It's crap.
This new card is cheaper in mana cost, but the effect is even slower than Gahz (which is already too slow, IMO. You rarely can attack the opponent with the buffed minion. With this new minion, you're limited to increase the attack 1x per turn, unlike Gahz, which can grow an insane amount of times in one single turn).
If I get this in an Unstable Portal, I'll be smiling from ear to ear, otherwise, I'll not use this.
So the way I see this card being played is to buff it the turn you play it, so playing this nude on turn 6 is the last thing you want to do. The expectation of it snowballing on the 2 attack base alone is out of the question, since it will probably "change it's mind" or get traded into for nothing. I'm thinking it is slightly worse validated doomsayer. Both this and VD get value at the start of your next turn, nightmare drake continuing to grow while VD maximizing its value as a 7/7. (keep in mind the attack will be reset at 7 at the start of all of your turns, so buffing won't do anything permanent.) Drake on the other hand is HORRIBLE after the first start of your turn "tick". 6 mana 4/8 vs a 5 mana 7/7. Now if you manage to buff the drake at least once in terms of its attack stat, the value starts coming in. For example, a priest on turn 7 can play a drake along with inner fire. 7 mana 8/8 is meh, not the greatest thing in the world, but keep in mind that since you also used a inner fire, its value decreases because of the loss in card advantage. If it survives the turn, it is a 16/8, which is pretty crazy, (though half the time unlikely) The most ideal combo I can see is turn 8 this + coldblood + conceal for a guaranteed 12/8. (even then the cards lost to pull off this combo, which is three, puts you ad a major card disadvantage, the value probably isn't worth it. The rant aside, I know for a fact this card is below average, but for everyone else going in with the mentality that its value will come off the base stats alone, well, that's a true dream. Just trying to propose the conditions it needs in order to become a true "nightmare".
Edit: Forgot to take into consideration the "dragon" tag. There could be some dragons released in this set that buff other dragons in the hand or deck, so if playing dragon oriented decks, this card might be run as a 1 of.

1- Gahz'rilla is a hunter card. A class that cannot build a decent combo deck. And he cost's more.
2- You can run 2 of these. And giving it stealth should be more than enough.
3- This is horrible from an unstable portal. A 2/8, which will become a 4/8 next turn, it's amongst the worst 6-drop you could get from a portal, on a deck not build around it.
4- Saying you would use sylvanas over this means you'll use it on turn 6, means you have 0 clue what makes a good card. Not all cards have to be good on their own.
People say cabal... yet this is a combo card and not to play on curve. Use your brains sometimes. It may still work.
A 6 mana card that needs a buff to be playable is not a good card. This card works ok with the priest health buffs but that type of deck will fail for the same reasons inner fire priest fails: 1) Inconsistent 2) Slow 3) Very weak to silence, hard removal, sap, freezing trap etc.

It doesn't require buffs to be "playable", it requires buffs to out right win you the game. So, in that sense, investing some mana into it, doesn't sound so bad.

Holy mother of god, this is soooooooooooooooooooooo slow
Dragon djinni paladin maybe. Feels like a weak grhazilla.

I dont think it will be played at all. Any combos posted here and any I can think of can be made better o easier using other cards
Consort into Nightmare+Blessing of Might seems like an ok combo
