Not great, but not the worst card that exists. I mean, you could compare it in some ways to Loot Hoarder that costs 2 and is a 2/1. You gain 1 additional health in exchange for the potential that you will have less synergy with the card that you get.

Road to Golden Hunter 500/500 (FYI I used Midrange not Smorc)
I can't believe people are complaining about a neutral 2-mana 2/2 + draw a card -- guaranteed to be a class card, no less.
My only gripe is that I thought we were supposed to be moving away from completely random drops and into Discover country. What's up with that, Blizzard?
I think the gripe is that this is crippling rogue, a class which honestly didn't need more of that. I know GvG and Naxx hit rogue REALLY hard and Standard will take that away, but come on, rogue gets nerfs ( Yeah, believe it or not ; And I'm not talking about Master of Disguise, some OTHER cards are apparently getting nerfed ), and one of its class card is simply a worse Dark Peddler ? Raptor rogue would be a fitting candidate for this card, if only half the deathrattle cards weren't going away with Standard anyway.
I'm sure some years down the road, rogue getting hammered into the ground will be an internet meme.
I love that Blizzard has been quietly pushing the midrange rogue at least as much as the taunt warrior (and with the same level of success). Dark Iron Skulker, Unearthed Raptor, Undercity Valiant, etc. all should make for a good midrange deck, but it always seems to just have something missing. It's still imo one of the most fun decks to play, even if it isn't top tier. But it really needs a few good new cards if it's going to survive the move to standard. Nerubian Egg was the biggest loss by a mile. This card gives the Raptor Rogue some hope of survival.
The problem with this card is there's no guarantee you get a good card, and the body isn't strong enough for an Unearthed Raptor to copy it. Most classes only have about 30-50% playable cards, and some of those won't even be playable with Rogue. What happens when you get Sense Demons or Bestial Wrath?
People wondering why this is Rogue only card. Well it "steals" a card and it's ability for stats is pretty crazy. There is no way this should ever be for all classes.

Same thing that happens when you play any 2-drop on turn 2 (juggler, aspirant, etc.) that gets removed right away, only you get a replacement card, along with some psychological pressure on your opponent.
And a turn 5 this into raptor leaves us with a 5-mana 5-6 split across two bodies that draws two cards from your opponent's class. Or ya know, turn 2 huckster into turn 3 raptor is also on point. It's not bad at all. I'll take this over dagger-pass every day of the week. Autoinclude in raptor/tempo/control rogue decks.
I like it. Rogues often don't have turn-2 plays other than Dagger, and this is a proactive tool. Meanwhile, while it adds card advantage, without being broken strong for combo-digging decks.
While we've seen that random opponent cards aren't always super strong, Rogue is often a class which can make more use than most out of them. Cheap, weak cards can activate Combo, weapon synergies aren't wasted, healing will always be relevant.
This card is actually meh, blizz hate rogue for sure.
No discover + random class card.
There isn't going to be a discover card in TOG. And so what if the card is random? Webspinner picks up a random beast, didn't stop it from seeing play.

That's ridiculous, discover is like, the best mechanic they've come up with for a long time.
Anways, card seems ok, raptor rogue will use, possibly sub for loot hoarder?

Discover was unique to League of Explorers, like how Inspire was unique to TGT, and RNG Cancer Bullshit was unique to GvG.

I did stoped playing it after dozen of angry chicken/falcodrago/captain parrot streaks
As for this card, it looks a good card, special value if u use the effect again via raptor or N'zoth, but i simple don't like randomity in my rogue decks, can't tell how i deslike casino mage, but people play it so this will see play.
This card is great and will be played, but there one thing that pisses me of:
Blizzard released a awesome expansion with a great mechanic (Discover), and now we are coming back to uncontrollable random... why don't use a mechanic we don't have complains at all is sad...

Great text, lovely art. Personally I've never been a fan of raptor rogue, so I hope this will fit in other standard decks too.

Its a great value card for arena. It also helps raptor rogue stay alive in standard.
is a rogue card

nice rouge card
Why are ppl just comparing it to burgle? compare it to loot hoarder instead, its gives you worse draw for +1 hp tempo.
For a WoG class card it loses some credit compared to hoarder, but its balance is on spot. might see play in DR rogue but it's better in rogue arena.
What's cool about the burgle mechanic is it can produce awesome cross-class effects, or pure trash.

"RSD, where value still means more than tempo."
Yeaaaaaah... it's insane, but it seems like they are about to leave rogue in dirt once again.
