...when it will undoubtedly kill many types of decks? In addition to this wild is meant to be crazy. I always say to people here that wild is given that name for a reason, as opposed to "tame".
I mean, it is not like the meta never changes in wild. Do you see Christmas Tree Pally composing the vast majority of decks still? How about Anyfin Pally or Jade Druid? Sure, decks like these still exist, but wild is effective enough to just add decks to the top, as opposed to allowing only one or two decks to be at top.
EDIT: While Reno Priest is a candidate for a problem deck in the format I don't think balance checks would need to be the only option to combat this one major problem deck. If we actually had decks like shaman or rogue being given high value cards to spring strong control archtypes then they could perhaps fight against things like Reno Priest. Instead of nerfing cards just actually give other classes powerful control tools to less popular classes.
Wild seems to stay balanced just because there is so much broken crap and only 30 cards per deck. I do sympathize with the priest thing - one of the devs clearly has a candle lit for the class last 3 expansions, it's pathetic, really.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Wild is ok as Wild, as long as its broken-ness is not onesided, with Priest being a problematic case right now (even if it favours Kingsbane Mill Rogue, which i like).
So fixes should apply to Wild as well, when necessary.
Maybe not as often as with Standard, but "Wild is Wild" cannot become an excuse, especially when broken stuff is about to undergo Rotation from Standard.
I thought they finally gave priest a bad legendary when i saw Benedict or whatever(battlecry put your opponents deck in your own) but its definitely not anywhere near bad considering we got cards like the last two i got:lillian voss and King DogWaddle. I've played this game since whispers priest has always seems fundamentally good just from basic set. Raza is one of the best cards in the game to me. I played around with shadowform with Raza but DK Anduin just makes it stupid. Simultaneously switch into machinegun mode and remove all big threats from board. Balanced.

You answered your own question towards the end of the post.
