So I've had an idea about an otk mage deck and craftet zephry for that.
The idea was to play double apprentice + boar and then zephry. Since zephry should always give the perfect card (and wining is always perfect right?) i thought he would give me sound the bells to give me lethal. Sadly that doesnt happen and instead I just lose. This has to be just a flaw of the AI right? Kind of sad because I dont really have that much dust and just wasted it on a deck I cant play.
thanks for the replys, good to know. Should probably be written somewhere in the game because I just wasted that dust then, and cant really be the only one that happened to. Never really got why blizzard cant give more information about the cards in the game and instead relies on third parties to tell players how cards work.
Quoting myself from another post, in case it helps:
For those that may not know all the details of how Zephrys the Great actually works, this is the info I've gathered (based on comments made by the devs):
He discovers cards based on what both players can see, which should be the following: amount of minions on board, their stats and effects, handsize, player health, mana remaining, mana available next turn, amount of cards in decks, if there are secrets in play, if there are weapons in play.
For that reason, he does not know what the cards in your hand are (except for the coin and non-random cards generated by your cards maybe?)

or just pay attention when the card is revealed and read the description of it on different sites instead of staring at the pretty colors on the card.
yeah it wasnt in the AI's data because it's not within the pool
knowledge of classic/basic pool is important

I didnt follow the reaveals this time so much, thats why I didnt know. I personally dont think I should need to follow the reveals to know important "hidden" information about a card. Instead it should be written in the game to let people know so they dont run into a trap like I did.
You did follow the reveals to some extend though. Otherwise you would not get the idea that Zephrys discovers the best card for the given situation from a currently known cardpool. The card text only states "wish for the perfect card" which doesn't imply that you discover a known card. It could very much have just given you a single uncollectible card or offered you the choice of making a card much like Kazakus. So, crafting Zephrys based on the card text - which only gives a vague impression of the effect - for the sake of a specific combo without further knowledge would be simply stupid. Most likely you did know of the effect, but you missed the "classic or basic" part. Which is kind of your own fault since it is mentioned very clearly.
thats what I mean by "important hidden information". Sure you do look up what they mean by "perfect card", but all I saw was that you get a card that is optimal for you in that moment. I couldnt find anything official about: type of cards(normal/wild/...) and that it doesnt "see" your hand, which are both very important aspects. If you dont expect it only to include basic/classic cards you simply wont look it up, because why would you? After all it was not mentioned very clearly (because it wasnt even mentioned) where I looked it up.

Zephrys can only give you basic or classic card.
Zephyrs only offers classic and basic cards, and WILL offer lethal if can.
Sound the Bells is nit Classic nor basic Card therefore Not in zelhyrs Cardpool.

In your specific case, you didn't get Sound the Bells! because zephrys only discovers classic and basic cards.
I think Zephrys is a great card!
So far he always offered me cards which were absolutely useful and in many cases gamechanging!
This single card is absolutely worth the dust!
