Team 5 already broke the rule creating an excuse (Hall of Fame) sending classic cards to wild, so I don't want them to break it again, especially being in favor of expansion cards. Nonetheless, I can say: the only acceptable card deserving to stay would be Whizbang, since it's archetype transcends any other card ever made.
It would still probably be the best card in the game by a mile.
Yeah, sure bro, the best card in the game by a mile... Jesus f...king Christ, is really that hard to be sincere from time to time and leave your emotions and fanboysm behind? I know I'm in your Ignore List, 1xbenx1, but since I'm quoting you, you can see this post now, LOL. XD
At eight mana, it would be in many cases (for example, when not playing against a combo deck) a worse and more expensive pre-nerf Ancient of Lore with 7 attack instead of 5 and without the choice to heal for 5. How is that the best card in the game by a mile?
If we're gonna prioritize which cards get "ever greened" from past expansions, then my pick goes to dirty rat. Especially if Blizzard refuses to print out other hand disruption tools. At least then we'd have a chance to disrupt all the otk builds running amok.
The Skulking Geist and Stonehill Defender have better arguments for staying. So many bothersome or essential 1-mana spells, and a good multi-use tool.
Lich King is the outgoing Dr. Boom of the Mammoth years. Wouldn't be surprised if power creep has him too slow to be effective in a few months. It happened to Ysera and Boom in wild.

Yeah it definitely wouldn’t be the best card in the game ..but it would be playable in almost all archetypes except combo lol. Unless you weren’t holding your combo pieces and in which case it could be a potential tutor , and a bad tutor at that.
Hell I’d be okay with them un nerfing him and sending him to HoF after a year. Same with Tinkmaster Overspark.
First, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to play this card against an aggro, tempo, face or midrange deck in the late game, when your opponent doesn't have any cards in hand. And second, at eight mana, it would be too expensive for an aggro, tempo or face deck, having also terrible stats for its cost (and please, don't dare you to compare Illidan with Baku or Genn, hehe ;)).

/I am going to miss Rin more
Not sure I agree with you on Stonehill, if it didn't have the class bonus I would say sure.
Some might say that it's cheaper to be a wild player than a standard one. In standard, you have to constantly keep up with the new expansions, but in wild, once you have a deck, it's likely to be viable for a long time.

Audaces fortuna juvat.
No. Cards like Lich King can be printed specifically because they will rotate.
Speaking only as a noob who doesn't have him, I won't be sad to see him go. Rotate away.
Make Illidan Great Again!!!
As a loyal supporter of control decks and control oriented metas, I fully agree. :D
Lmao people talking about keeping Wizzbang but not TLK are you serious???
Of course they are serious about it. Keeping Whizbang the Wonderful in Standard makes perfect sense. Keeping The Lich King doesn't.
You would play it in almost every single deck. Pre-nerf Illidan would maybe be the best card in the game.
They can always change the amount of cards discarded and drawn to 2, while keeping his current stats and making him cost seven or eight mana.
It would still probably be the best card in the game by a mile.
The real issue is that you don't want stuff like that or Lich King in basic/classic. It's how we got into the mess we're in right now.
FWIW - I'm all for them making a playable version of Illidan.

I got this guy Golden, so please go ahead, or unnerf it and HoF him so i can grt my greedy fingers on some free dust!

Dude I'm 17-3 from bottom of wild with the deck you posted and only had to spend 400 dust on the wild cards. Great work!
