well OP if u want to run experiment decks without having the penalty of ranking down that situation is perfect, u do an experimental deck against META DECKS without the drawback of losing rank
Instead, I suggest they implement a "test-out" mode, where people go simply to try out new decks. You can't earn gold nor complete quests in it.
But, I must say, if you're trying out a new deck, and seeing how well it fares against the competitive ladder, is it not better to run it against actual decks you'll see in competitive instead of some newbie deck you can beat with anything.
I swear for god, if blizard dont change this anoying casual mode. Iwill play the most agrro deck after rotation to smash other people and farm fast gold.
One issue with doing this though is that it would deny gold to new players who might find ranked too intense. Maybe it's better with the ladder change that they wouldn't encounter as many meta decks as they previously would have at lower ranks. Maybe they could decrease the gold cap on the casual games instead of removing it so it doesn't impact newer players but would discourage people from farming gold there.
"Who are you to dictate what is fun?! My top-tier deck is fun for me, but it's only fun if I get gold for my wins."
This is at least 70% of HS's Casual players (this thread will find several of these less desirable creatures in due time if it hasn't already), and they are the retar reason I kinda agree with this. Thing is: Almost all my games are casual since I only play the bare minimum of ranked every season, and so casual gold is the only 3 win gold I earn.
Have you considered conceding several times to drop your MMR? There are games worth playing somewhere down there, or so I heard.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
There is no room for experiment decks or play for fun
On what basis do you make that conclusion? Oh, you want to experiment and win while doing it. There is already a mode for that, it's called practice. People who think the netdecks in casual are gold farmers obviously play little casual. Removing the gold will not alter the decks you encounter there in the slightest - it's still a competitive mode, just unranked. There will never be, nor should there be a mode where you face weak opponents.
I test new ladder decks out there because you face basically the same stuff you find on ladder and when getting the feel for a new deck I usually make stupid misplays they would cost me stars on ladder.
so then you can only do quests in ranked (jeopardizing your ranking if say its "play XX cards of a class" or "play 10 murlocs/elementals/whatever requires a less then ideal build) pay 150 gold/real money for arena runs, or 5/7 days of the week do tavern brawl, assuming that weeks brawl isnt a boss battle, custom thing, or you can even pick your class/cards.
this has to be an april fools joke I cant legitimately believe someone would actually suggest that kind of thing with a straight face. It's just too painful to think of. Sorry you get stomped but the point of "casual" is "play dumb shit with 0 care for quests OR work on a deck you wanna perfect for ranked" so yeah some folks wanna learn how to pilot a deck first. Its not like you can copy a decklist, jump into ranked, and start winning 10 games in a row.

Hi i'm Tyler and I play hearthstone and watch anime.
Sometimes i make cards. I'd like to do that for a career one day if ever possible.
If they went to ranked youd complain theres too much netdeckers at rank20. The only way is making another mode such as arena or tavern brawl that would suck those players out.

There's actually a petition for this.

If you just want to try it and win, go play practice mod... If you want to see how it actually works against real players than please stop crying

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
