Just curious what rank people hope to achieve each season (realistically) before you can quit the ladder and go, "ok, that's good enough."
For me it's 10-5. I find the toxic grind of the ladder just too much around that point. Mind you, I have only made it to 5 once, so perhaps I'm not as good as many other people who frequent these forums.
I always make an effort to reach rank 5, but then I pretty much lose interest in climbing any higher since I already have the legend card back. It’s worth getting to 5 for the golden epic.
5 for the epic, legend did twice in a row and honestly doesn't really motivate me go to legend again for a mere extra golden common. Perhaps if they turn a random legendary of yours into a golden one...that would be different.
I am to get as high as I can. I have only gotten to 14 I think this season, I am stuck at 15 for now but learning more decks to help push higher. Each three seasons I have actually tried in I have gotten better. I think I reached 18 my first, and 15 my second.
Some seasons I g to 5 and then either see try to raise further or play meme decks (depending on the time that's left in the season). And other seasons, like this one, I only play some home-made decks, some better than others, and really don't care about the rank.
For now, I hit rank 15 for the rare, but if i was able to, i want rank 5 for epic, or 10 for at least 2 rares, but bad collection for now. I a bit impatient for the rotation in April because i craft nothing From Gadgetzan and Wisp of old Gods (not enough time to get enough value with those craft).
rank 5 and then after that I really don't care because the reward from rank 5 to hitting legend is about 40-50 dust difference in the rewards and when you consider once you hit rank 5 the winstreaks stop it's just not worth it going beyond 5.

I aim for 5, but been stuck at 10ish last few months because homebrews and the oversaturation of ladder with priests.
Same here. I am at rank 8 right now, and just so frustrated with the competition. Nothing is more soul destroying than being at a certain level with full stars and then falling back down to a lower level.
It really depends on how high i got from doing only dailies.
Usually i get to rank 12~14 just with dailies, and in the last week of the season i get to rank 10 and stop.
But sometimes i experiment with new deck ideas in mid month and get to higher rank than 10, if i'm close enough to 5, usually i'll push at the last week of the season and get to rank 5, if i'm too far i won't bother and stay with the rank 10 chest.
Sometimes i get to 14 or 13 just with further playtesting of my own customised decks.
I'd regularly push to 10, but it is just 50 dust difference. Not useless, but not worth the frustration of up and downs, imo.
Rank 5 would probably be the best for reward/effort ratio, but really, the required effort for my skills and patience is too much. It'd feel like a job.
5, grinding to legend has no purpose I did it like 4-5 times so I already have the card back and the reward for all that disgusting grind is like what? 50 more dust? I can just grind thr 100 gold after, buy a pack and get the same dust so I just reach rank 5 on the first 2 weeks and then just play some fun deck/ whatever I feel like I would enjoy playing no matter if it's good and then probably end up getting to rank 3 at the end of the month.
Realistically 5. Going for legend is too time consuming these days. But as long as I’m over 20 to get the card back I really don’t care. I more like having fun than anything. I experiment on weird decks too much. Lol.

Best rank i hit: 12.

5. Switch to meme decks and try to get to 4/3 maybe.

I usually end up somewhere between 10-6 on months where I'm busy. 5-3 on months were I have little more time. And got to legend twice.
It's all about the time. :)
Whatever rank i get by not playing ranked except for quests (usually something between 15-10)

Fuck cubelock
I'm satisfied with 10, but will push to 5 if I have the time. Don't really have any aspirations to reach legend.
