Good to know... I thought similarly with Tess although, it was only because my first 6-9 bosses I went through were giving really sub-par rewards, like a really bad deathrattle set of cards (considering the deck given at start had 1 deathrattle?... didn't seem like a good idea). Once I got a few cards that actually had good sync with them it worked a lot better.

Tess with Kingsbane, Oil and Jades is really strong imo
I was like 70 bosses deep before I beat it with her. Ended up getting the perfect storm finally and RNG went my way. Double Time + -1 Spellcost with Quest and chaos and freeze buckets. The last boss was cake because I had the Enhancomechano treasure and cartographer in my starting hand of the match. So even when she restarted I had a full hand of non class spells from the treasure and was half way done with the quest on Turn 1. Ended up double Jade Blossom on turn 2 and had a double Free from Amber which I got Rag and Onyxia off of. Completely wrecked her.
I would definitely just go with the above build though. Having double time with quest and a couple freeze spells can offset most of the ridiculous bosses. +Spell power wasn't offered, The spell reduction is really good. Got whisperer on that run and just echo'd zero cost missles for OTK on like turn 3.
Also the most difficult Hunter for me. It doesn't really matter what abilities and treasures were chosen, it all came down to some sort of cockblock. Be it the obnoxious Face Collector, Shudderwock (Iron Juggernaut when you have like 10 cards left and draw both mines during the next three turns makes for great fun...) or Azalina with her mass mind control bullshit. When I went +spelldmg and lots of missiles etc. I got totally crushed by some guy named Vitus (?) who has Prince Keleseth effect as passive heropower, a bunch of self-replicating minions and cards like Cold Blood, Savage Roar or Bloodlust.
Well, first time I played Toki, I found very fun to play with the Hero Power. I used it on every turn just to know how it works, without any purpose… well, somehow the first boss defeted me. I didn’t even understand what’s happened. Just wanted to hit the button “return to the past and repeat” :-D
I beat it with her first try whit a pretty spell heavy deck with the +3 spell damage passive treasure, but I might have been just lucky.
Future Toki played the restart game spell once after I popped her Ice Block when she had 1hp left, but as I still had all my health that was no problem, and the second she didn‘t have Ice Block so I could just kill her, and even if she had had Ice Block I could‘ve killed her with card Time Warp
try getting the exstra +3 spell damage and the spell reduction also use the hero power to check what secreats you oppnent is using and to help you with bad rng
- +3 spell damage (I even got to pick this twice in one run)
- Wild Magic bucket
- Magical Friends bucket
- Enhance-a-matic - it's a busted card
Playing this way usually makes your deck into a kind of Tempo mage. Go for magical friends buckets and get flamewankers + Sorc apprentice and go off. Enhance-a-matic is a broken card, 1 mana draw 9. On paper it sounds like trash, getting random class cards but in practice it's really fucking good. You usually get so much value, the card carried a lot of my games tbh.
I beat the Monster Hunt with Toki on the first try. I just picked magical friends and chose the treasure that made my spells cheaper twice. When I was playing against Infinite Toki, she used that card that completely rewinds the game, but I managed to win.
I managed to clear it with a heavy midrange mech deck along with some removal spells. As treasure i picked double health (which helped with nemesis toki) and the one that heals you and your minions at the end of your turn.
Managed to fatigue and kill toki even with the restart card. She missplayed by killing her last minion with her heropower thinking i was dead when i got iceblock up. From there all i had to do was sit, heal and wait for her fatigue :D

This deck that she starts with STRUGGLES to get beyond the first fight, let alone deep into the hunt.
Yea I cleared it on the 3rd run. You need the treasure that copies the first spell you cast, the mage quest pack, and +3 spell damage helps.

uh, 20 wins and 2 times completed.... So I would say I don't struggle that much?
Yup, my runs with Toki summed in two turns:

Rng bullshit all the way.
She's actually the easiest one to clear with, providing you can pick up the right combo.

The key for me was the double cast on first spell and the spell that fills your hand with spells from each class.
Keys to winning with Toki:
- Double time
- +3 spell damage (I even got to pick this twice in one run)
- Wild Magic bucket
- Magical Friends bucket
- Enhance-a-matic - it's a busted card

She was the easiest and most enjoyable boss for me.
I struggled more with shaw - took me 5 tries while Toki only took 3 and I one shotted Tess and Darius.
