His hero power is a 0-mana: destroy 2 cards in your opponent's deck. That is absolutely insanity. I had this really cool spell power priest with Lyra and Velen, etc with a whole lot of stalling spells and I got absolutely destroyed because I was into fatigue before turn 15! This is crazy overpowered and they need to nerf him.
I've encountered all 5 final bosses. Azari was the only one which hero power didn't affected the board in some way ( Togwaggle and Xol get great cards WHICH affect the board ). My Druid was close to midrange so most of the time he just ended up burning some not important card ( or Ragnarosy ) and I cleared his board and hit face. For me it was the easiest of all battles, but I understand slower decks could have problems against him.
I faced him 5 times in a row on different heroes and beat him 4 times. He's really annoying though. You build a cool and powerful deck and most of it just evaporates.
I don't know if it means a deck is slow or greedy, it relies heavily on getting the specific cards you need. Otherwise you will often just watch your key cards disappear.
Beat him with a resurrection priest, having 2xKel'Thuzad on board discounted to 5 mana and the ability to resurect them if they died made him a cake walk. It comes down to a little luck and your thoughts put into the deck
The best way I've found to beat him is just to trigger all of the secrets until he runs out of secrets in his hand and hope you have enough board clear.
Not only is it possible but it was also completed by the AI on day 1 of the expansion! :D

Honestly if you can manage to get both +1/+1 buffs on your minions (or even just 1 and spam the board fast enough) youll have him running with his tail between his legs.
I was able to easily handle Azari with a double battlecry Jade Shaman build going.
The kicker for this was being able to steal 3 cards from his hand right off the bat. It prevented him from getting any of his big minions out. Instead they were on my side kicking in his teeth.
Ered'achor! Havik! Galar!
Ez win with shamam and 3 ragnaros xD

I had a fun silver hand paladin deck going. Was washing the floor with every boss.
Until Azari showed up. This time it wasn't the card burning that hurt, but the despicable dreadlord kept me from getting anything going.
I managed to turn the tables on him last night and fatigue him to death. Reno Jackson is incredible against him.
Especially with Archmage Staff and potion of vitality.
Archmage Staff can give you Echo of Medivh and I got 2 and just kept putting Reno back in to my hand.
Azari is in my opinion the most fun deck because you never know what cards you will be left with.
It's not impossible at all, but your chances with a slow deck are very bad.
On the other hand, did anyone manage to beat that room full of secrets? I find that much harder tbh.

Thats the only good way I've found though
F**K YOU BLIZZARD
I think he is the easiest of the 3 bosses.
That'll do, Huffer. That'll do.

Beat him like that with Pally on Turn 8
Finally got him with priest.. +1/1, double deathrattle and 7 boombots! BOOM IN YOUR FACE.
Anduin round 8 against his Malganis, Doomguard and Voidlord finished him.. fatality!
All Skill, No Luck
Azari is probably the easiest boss I've seen so far. His hero power does nothing until fatigue.

I have yet to run into any problems with Azari. Personally, the final boss that gives me the most problems is Toggwaggle.
