I'm an active wow player since the patch 1.5, bought diablo 3 and subscribed myself to the annual pass of wow, since I heard about hearthstone I opt'ed in for it to get early acess to the closed beta stage, like many of us...
The funny part is... they are sending beta keys to ppl that doesnt opted in (see the last blue in this website), to random ppl creating random battle.net accounts, to ppl who never ever did/played 1/3 of what I've helped blizzard with their games.
Blizzard, re-think the manner of sending keys that you are using atm, ppl even without a game (fake accounts just to get the key) receiving them make your real customers kill theirselves.
Tip: next time only send an key to who actualy has a account with an official game bought of you, like diablo, sc, wow, w/e. Here's my way to help your company... again, since 2007-8.
Your "facts" are not. I have 1 account, my blizzard gaming mirrors your experience and I got a Beta key from Opting in (on the 2nd wave). Its a closed beta, they are inviting a small amount of people to find bugs and tell experiences to fix the game before pressure testing in an open beta.
I have felt your pain (admitting only for a week) but luck is luck.

Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.
Not really trolling, just sad about how they choose ppl to try their games. I do agree with you, closed beta, ok, small amout of ppl, but they at least should choose ppl that can gave them an good feedback, experienced players and stuffs.
I came in here to complaim, because my friend that barely play wow since a year ago got the key.
Ps. sorry about the bad english, its not my first language.
Ability to beta test has nothing to do with brand loyalty
It has to do with hardware specs
You need feedback from experienced players but also people who barely have any idea how a computer works. Both of those people are going to be targetted for the released game, so people who mess up constantly are actually more useful as testers than people who intuitively get it.
You are never going to get Beta Access as a reward unless it is one you have paid for, which you haven't.

So... indeed I should be one of the choosen to try the beta since my hardwares are by far enough to try the game. Your answer is not an valid answer, choosing random ppl doesnt mean they are a good or bad user to try the game.
I keep my opionion, they should choose ppl that knows what they are doing, mostly of the ppl choosen will see an glitch or bug, will reboot the game and will keep playing, wont report it, I've seen that before, this time wont be other way.
It's not about having amazing hardware. Just the opposite. I am sure in a closed beta test they want to know the lowest system specs their game can run on. It helps a lot.

You really don't have a clue about beta testing. Why would Blizzard be so stupid as to only invite people who "know what they are doing" and have games or played wow for a long time or w/e else. That is a completely stupid way of thinking because you don't get the right info you need for the testing.
When you want a game tested you need to get good players bad players people new to gaming or even your companies style. They all help to represent the people who will be or might be interested in the game once it is fully out. Often time long time players can become jaded or ignorant to thing when testing as well. Those people are more likely to give their ideas about what they would like to see changed in the game, as opposed to testing what is just there. Though suggests help the testing too, but every Beta test I always see much more "it should be this way" feedback than current game feedback.
In the end it doesn't matter though. Blizzard shouldn't favor anyone over anyone else as far as opt in waves are concerned. At most there need to be a restriction on sending out invites to accounts created around or after the beta starts though, which Blizzard has done with past Betas and may even be doing with this for all we know. They aren't sending out invites to those who aren't opt'd in either, anyone who says otherwise is 99% lying.
Also one last thing, its just a Beta, its not the end of the world if you cant get in till open Beta.
I see what you're saying. I've been with them for many years now too, since late vanilla + Diablo 3.. But yee, it's totally random and people abuse that fact. You know what they say, people will always abuse, that's why we cant have nice things... I'd like to get a beta key too, but with my past luck, I will have to wait for open beta. Guess we'll have to keep watching streams and drooling..
This ^ deserve any respect,
the other who answered (DSrl) , I'm not saying why I M NOT IN THE BETA, but why they choose ppl that doesnt have a clue of what they are doing, how they are supposed to help finding something on the game if they are not interested on it, like the guy that got the betakey and haven't even opted in.

Except the person was opted in. The Blue even said so. If you do'nt trust the Blue who can even go look at the account settings of that person, that that is on you, but I'm 95% sure that Blizzards beta key wave program wont send keys to an email that isn't signed up for one. People lie, that is what they do. They just want to cause trouble and hundreds of people will try to cause trouble when they can during this beta.
Also, Yes they still do need people that don't know exactly what they are doing in the Beta. It is not hard to give feedback. If they know how to enter the key in the first place they know where to find the forums. If they don't enter a key then Blizzard sends some more waves because they need more for testing. If they do enter then Blizzard might just get some info from someone they will be marketing the game to, a new person that is on the market and wants something fun to play. If Blizzard gets feedback from those "don't know anything" players, then they can use that feedback to maybe make things easier or clearer for them to get into the game. Blizzard doesn't want only their current fan base to play this game, they want anyone and everyone. Which is why they send keys to anyone and everyone that is opted in.
